I like to frequent this place a lot when I can. Not only is the staff very friendly, cook just outright an awesome guy, but the food is outstanding! So much good food that I don't even know where to start. All their hamburgers are very delicious and the fries are a must on all orders! (Both types are very... More

Hubby & I had lunch here and totally enjoyed it. I had a daily special burger that was stuffed with whole roasted garlic cloves, mushrooms, and feta cheese--yum. Hubby had a cheeseburger/fries & loved them as well. Ate in the lovely spice garden behind the restaurant, just walking past the chefs preparing the veggies for the day. You'll love the... More

Wife and friend met up for lunch. Staff friendly, facilities clean, staff attentive. May not look like much from the street but just a wonderful home style place to eat.

We were traveling south on Highway 50 after a visit to Lake Tahoe and read about Old Town on Travel Advisor. What a rewarding lunch stop. The staff and family owners were over the top on service and friendliness. And the burgers they're known for were delicious. And, don't pass on the garlic fries...you'll be sorry if you do. As... Small family operated really good stuff cooked to order. Street parking limited there are several free lots five minutes walk away and it's worth it. Charming quiet outdoor seating in back. You will need more than one napkin.

If you are looking for a great sandwich, burger or hot dog this is your place. Check out the specials. I had the best garlic bacon cheeseburger.

This is one of my favorite places to grab lunch at in Placerville. The staff is very friendly and pride themselves on customer service, a rare thing these days! The crosscut fries are a must and the chef is the best in town, if not the state at what he does.

Walked in there near closing time, 2 kids and 3 adults, made really welcome, not rushed. Best french fries I've ever had and a tasty homemade burger plus interestingly round hot dogs for the children!! Really enjoyed and will happily return when next in Placerville.
