The Cozmic was my very favorite restaurant in Placerville. Miss it terribly. The food was great and the setting unique. Ate there whenever I was in Placerville.

If you are in Placerville you have to stop by the Cosmic. This is in an old Soda Factory from the gold rush days with a tunnel that goes WAY back into the hill behind the building where they kept the Sodas cool before refergeration....More

One of my favorite healthy places to eat lunch. It is located in the side of a hill with a mine shaft to explore and sit & eat. It is unique! Good healthy sandwiches and wonderful iced tea. It is a good stop on the...More

The Cozmic Cafe(especially the upstairs), is worth a visit if if you don't eat there. Fifty years ago, the Cozmic would have been called a "hippie hangout". The food is vegetarian but very good. Their nutburgers are better than any hamburger I've ever had.

We don't go out much as most food available isn't very good in my opinion. We cook an create what we like at home. The Cosmic Cafe is an exception to this unfortunate trend in food consumed by people that exist on fast food preparation...More

We went to the restaurant to see Tempest, our favorite Celtic rock group. It was a small venue, but nice. We had to climb stairs because they don't seem to have an elevator.

The nearest center is at the Sacramento center 2230 Del Paso Road. That said, I think the Cozmic zcafe would be a very good meeting place for locals. You should contact the management or staff.
