After a long walk , my husband, friends and I decided to stop by Taste of Thai Restaurant and had our lunch at Taste of Thai. The restaurant looked cozy...and the aroma of Thai foods was lingering around. The food is okay but the service...is a bit slow.More

I know nothing about Thai food but i know good food when I taste it and we found it here. We really liked the garlic shrimp, green curry dish and several others.

I was surprised to find such good Thai food outside of Bangkok. To find such a good Thai restaurant in Placerville of all places was a terrific discovery. The food is very good, varied and well presented. We tried four different dishes and just to...think of returning next time I am in Placerville, has me making plans around that restaurant. Fantastic.More

This place has been a Lyons, a hamburger joint, a chinese place, and a Thai place. None of them were very good. The earlier Thai place was downright awful. This new place, now called "Thai Unique" is a real gem. Great food and nice people....We've tried a good dozen things on the menu, and all are good, with the Pumpkin Curry being our favorite.More

So happy when I found we have an excellent Thai food restaurant in our sleeply little town. They have the most polite people working there, they are so kind and sweet. They bow and smile, makes me feel so special. I love how authentic their...dishes are. The curries are great. My husband likes the barbecue chicken plate. They have pumpkin curry and sticky rice with mango. Better stop, I will have to go visit soon. You will love them.More

Have eaten several times at this place and it's always been tasty. Being that it's Placerville , didn't have high expectation for thai food being very good...and was surprised when it turned out to be better than average.

Found this place via Trip Advisor; it had good ratings. Ditto. Service was spot on. Our waiter was very eager to accommodate our needs, gave us options on the menu and service was very prompt. We have traveled to Thailand within the last year, and...we must admit the food quality at this restaurant reminded us of our meals we shared in Thailand. Big thumbs up. We had the Pad Thai and Panang Curry with a couple of Sigha’s. Little gem of Thailand found in a podunk town. Will be back for sure!!! Highly recommended! Sawadee krup.More

Beautiful decor, feels like you stepped into Thailand. Food is authentic, high quality, and you can designate the degree of heat for your individual taste. Service is prompt, and polite. A variety of dishes, including vegetarian. I love their curry dishes, my Daughter's favorite is...Evil Jungle Noodles.More

Amazing food tucked away in this mountain town. The chicken stir fry in the sweet and sour sauce with pineapples and veggies was delicious. This meal is intended to be shared but can be eaten by one person, just that food will be taken home....The place is clean, quiet, and serene. Which made me feel like I needed to get a massage. The place should have a spa located inside, it would be convenient. I would have loved to have gotten a massage and then eaten some thai food.More
