Just wanted a late evening glass of wine and a bit to eat and this fit the bill. What's nice is to be able to taste the wine before you buy a bottle. The sommelier recommended a bottle based on what I told him I was looking for and it was perfect. The baked brie appetizer is scrumptious

One of my favorite Placerville lunch spots. Gets a little crowded sometimes, but I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. Food is delicious, with a great wine list to accompany your meal.

I saw this place rated well in Tripadvisor and as the family was ready for dinner after rafting nearby during a road trip, decided to check it out. The place was due to shut but when I called they agreed to keep it open for us, for which we were grateful. The place was quite small and unassuming. NIcely decorated... More

Last Saturday my husband ended up with no plans, no kids and wanted to get out of town for a bit. We headed out to Sutter Creek to pick up some wine and then up to Placerville to walk around, shop and grab lunch. I have eaten at HeyDay Cafe two other times (lobster bisque is delicious) and have always... More

Great menu but the pizza is the real treat. Restaurant is located in a vintage building, a very Placerville experience.

Every visit to the HeyDay reminds us of how good it is. It is a small restaurant, and we've always gone for dinner. It is always crowded (usually they have to turn people away at the door who fail to make reservations). The food is varied, fresh, and creative. The wine selection is very good, and the servers are knowledgeable,... More

Creative menu items, well executed. Pleasant staff, good service. We split a BLT. It was warm and yummy. The tomatoes on our sandwich were perfect.

Far above our expectation, for service, wine and food. The wine selections are excellent, but in addition, serves wine by individual glasses from many of the bottles they offer - perhaps 30 different vineyards. Too, Heyday offers wine flights in a multitude of types. That alone was really great. Food was good, especially the pizza. Other emphasis is on salads,... More
