Lively little cafe in historic old Placerville. Great, friendly service and outstanding food. Roasted butternut squash pizza ... unique and delicious! And good, strong coffee to tip it off. We'll be back.

Always a must stop for lunch or dinner when in Placerville. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great menu for light or heavy fairy.

Interesting place, but dreadfully slow service and food was ok. There were only three tables filled (maybe 10 people max) and it took forever for food to come and my potatoes were raw. Prices were ok, but we wished we had gone to Mel's or Buttercup.

Stopped with friends on way back from South Lake Tahoe. First time but not the last. The wait staff was Very attentive, knew the menu extremely well and gave solid recommendations. The Picatta was outstanding but the Gingerbread desert was to die for!

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Apple Hill. The menu was good with a lot of nice choices. The wine list was good, as well, with a nice selection of local wines. While we received our wine, we waited 40 minutes for our lunch once we ordered. The food was good, but put us a bit behind... More

We had salads, and a specialty pizza for lunch. The salads were great, and the pizza was very tasty, but obviously a California Pizza....when I'm used to New York style pizza. Nice interior, with very good service!

My wife and I recently had lunch at the Heyday Cafe in Placerville. She ordered the beet salad and I had the portabella mushroom panini. Both dishes were tasty. Service was good and the waitstaff were very friendly. This is a good lunch choice if you are in Placerville, CA.

Just wanted a late evening glass of wine and a bit to eat and this fit the bill. What's nice is to be able to taste the wine before you buy a bottle. The sommelier recommended a bottle based on what I told him I was looking for and it was perfect. The baked brie appetizer is scrumptious
