Trip advisor rated this as number 1 and so when we were passing through we stopped for dinner and we were not disappointed! The food , atmosphere and service was all excellent. My husband had the New York strip with blue cheese (8 ounce steak) and I had the lobster bisque soup. It was all wonderful. Thank you for a... More

Wow - what a find! Have been to lunch there, and every person in our group of five LOVED their meal. Intimate, efficient, and friendly. Great food with amazing, unique selections. Hard to believe this gem is smack-dab in the middle of main street, Placerville, cute little town. Great stop between bay area and Tahoe. Worth the visit!

Heyday Cafe on Main Street in old Placerville was a very nice surprise. The decor was elegant and uncluttered. The restroom was very clean and modern. We ordered a chicken panini with cranberries and a chicken curry salad. The panini was tasty. The salad was light on the curry, and the vegetatables were very fresh. We also had vegetable soup... Excellent in every way. On a rainy day in Placerville , 6 family members had a great lunch at Heyday Cafe on Main Street in Placerville. We walked in, immediately seated at a table for 6. I had the BLT sandwich which is my favorite. Others had the Bisque soup.Excellent table service for a very busy day.

First dinner that I have had here, and it didn't disappoint. Family outing, with two different pizzas (large) one BBQ Chicken and the other Bleu cheese and bacon. The four pizza eaters were very happy with the taste and the price was good for the size. They even had enough for two more meals. The Heyday salad was enjoyed by... More

Got assigned to a court case and ate lunch here a couple days while serving. A great place to spend a quiet hour or so with good food and wine before continuing to dispense justice. Staff very good and helpful and attentive. Food also very good. Had salad shown one day - delicious. Fish and chips a second day. They... More

Stopped here for a late lunch and shared the Butternut Bacon Pizza! Wow is all I can say. It was wonderful, I never thought of adding butternut squash to pizza but it works. The flavors of the caramelized onions with the bacon and squash are just to die for! Service was good and I would certainly recommend the Butternut Bacon... More

Lively little cafe in historic old Placerville. Great, friendly service and outstanding food. Roasted butternut squash pizza ... unique and delicious! And good, strong coffee to tip it off. We'll be back.
