As stated this is a Cowboy Restaurant overlooking the Blue Pacific Ocean. I first came here 30 years ago, with my newly wed friends on her first visit to California. She was born in Florida and had never seen mountain and ocean together. What I missed on last nights visit was the water pouring. They had in the past set... More

We had been in the Pismo Beach area for several days and wanted something beyond the wonderful local seafood and Mexican establishments. For Texas style steak cooking with all the trimmings, F. McLintocks was a find. It takes a minute to get past the Old West appearance of the building's outside. Not quite California Beach chic'. Step through the front entrance... More

Loud, very cowboy style decor, which I love. Served "onion rings in place of bread, that is what wee do here, " was no choice and far more fattening. We had steak bites which two thirds were tough and not chewable . I had steamers, tiny and tasty except for the broth which was overloaded with tyme, rosemary and unfortunately,... More

We had reservations for a Monday night. We were seated immediately in a booth between the bar where a country style troubador was singing; and, the dining room. We had views of the ocean sunset and enjoyed the entertainment. A special for the evening included 2 small 3 oz filet medallions and 3 large grilled shrimp. It was excellent. Good... More

The steaks here are very good and so is everything else I've tried. My only complaint is that you have to call well ahead for reservations and even then you might have to wait when you get there.

Excellent food and the friendliest staff make this a must stop and eat in the area. Amazing steaks and reasonable priced wine list with local bottles. Nice bar and happy hour.

To start, we sat in the lounge to be away from all the children. Ordered champagne, but waitress had no clue how to open it (screw-off variety). Ordered filet mignon and all the trimmings, wife ordered a salad. Beans were served for both of us with a spoon that was way too large, and the waitress spilled the beans with... More

This is an outstanding steakhouse. Outstanding. The cuts of beef are generous, the ribeye well-marbled, the filet nice and thick. My mouth is watering just thinking about this place. When you order off the regular menu, there are endless sides of onion rings, salsa, campfire potatoes, etc. No need to order a side salad or appetizers. They serve huge portions,... More

We called to ask if we could get a reservation for dinner and were told. You won't need a reservation if you're here within 15-20 minutes. Not only did we not need a reservation but they gave us a great table by the window. Our server was knowledgeable and fun. Adding to our enjoyment. Onion rings were delicious and plentiful.... More
