We have never been to Pismo and stopped in at Brads for dinner . Our server was amazing and such a hard worker . It was a nice atmosphere considering they are dealing with state Covid mandates . They gave you plenty of food. We...had shrimp kabobs and tri tip. The shrimp were delicious . The tri tip was a bit bland but when we asked for bbq sauce it was good . The steamed vegetables were perfect and tasty. They do not skimp on portions . I would go back .More

If you want fish and chips or chowder this is the spot. For COVID purposes it is patio seating only. We arrived midweek at lunch and were worried we wouldn’t get a table, but there were plenty of openings. I would like to see more...fresh fish on the menu for lunch besides the Senior option and dinner, but enjoyed the Fisherman’s Choice. The prawns were large and oysters were delicious for fried food. Didn’t have many options for a vinaigrette for the salad, but that’s ok. Exactly what you would expect for a fish and chips place. The wait staff was friendly and each one was wearing a mask. I never saw them take them off. Chowder was quite a hit as almost every table ordered the bread bowl.More

Be aware that not all Pismo Beach restaurants are as “COVID safe” as others. It was alarming for us to find that the man greeting patrons at the door to Brad’s Restaurant did not constantly wear his mask and when he did, it did not...cover his nose. Several waitresses and servers wore their mask not covering their nose, as if it was an inconvenience. Our waitress actually said she was “over it with this mask thing.” Seeing those who were serving customers be so lax made us wonder what precautions were taken in their kitchen. Customers were coming and going from their tables without masks…evidently they know that Brad’s has lax rules about wearing face masks when not seated. It was an uncomfortable situation considering that masks are our best ‘tool’ at fighting the virus at this time. The clam chowder and fish and chips were very good...and that's what this review would have focused on had it not been for their lax COVID precautions.More

Patio dining in comfort with gas heaters as needed. Service was excellent and our fish and chips were awesome! There is a wait but oh so worth it.

After walking around town and down to the pier, we came back to Brads due to patio seating and a Sr. Special. It included entrees and a glass of wine, which was perfect for us. There was a short wait for a table and it...was fun to people-watch while we waited. Our server was excellent, the food plentiful and tasty and the relaxing patio perfect. So the next day, we returned for the fish & chips at lunch and happily paid full price.More

This restaurant has been family-owned and family-run for decades. It is one of the best restaurants in town for quality of food and reasonable prices! Not to be missed!

While there will be a wait to get onto the patio, the food is worth the wait. Their Buffalo BBQ Clams appetizer steal the show and frankly a double order would make a great meal.

Got to Pismo beach on Sunday and went straight to Brad's. They like every other place is doing the best they can under the circumstances so they offer only patio dinning. We got there are 4:45 and had about a 20 minute wait for 2,...I do not recommend going with a large party or more than 5, they just cannot handle that right now. Depending on the time the wait can be short on long and they will not call you when your table is ready. We went back at 6:15 on Wednesday and they were closes, most places on Doliver close at 6 or 6:30 right now.More

Hellooooo all travelers, for the last 25 years, i been visiting Pismo and tried most of the restaurants in town, and so far, Brads is the best place. They have the best clam chowder on the west coast.

I do not feel the place is good value, nor is their seafood the freshest in town. Too many flies in the café, outside might be better.
