My friend took me to McNear's for my Birthday celebration. I have been to McNear's many times and I am always satisfied. I especially like the fact that McNear's has been around for a long time and is located in the heart of downtown.
My favorite drinking establishment in downtown Petaluma is also my favorite easting establishment in downtown Petaluma. Multiple drafts, crafty cocktails, and eclectic entrees are on offer. McNear's is next door to the fabulous Mystic Theatre, so you can have dinner and a show in close...More
We went here on a local's recommendation for great pub food. My husband ate a burger and I got a turkey/brie/apple sandwich after not much else appealed. After having so much good food in the area, we were a bit disappointed. It's pretty run-of-the-mill bar...More
My kind of place, with an old bar, plenty of draft beers and TVs, and something for everyone on the menu. Next door they have live entertainment, which I’ll have to come back for another weekend. Nice area for sitting outside and watching people walking...More

I love this old watering hole. A very fun place with a great menu, great beer menu, nostalgic vibe that caters to everyone. Fantastic service. I had a happy hour beer and calamari with a fried chicken salad with BBQ ranch dressing
We were going to the Mystic Theatre and went here for the perfect convenience. The food was okay but service was so slow. My cousin had to ask for his beer three times before someone brought it to him and my food was never entered...More

I haven't been there for lunch yet; but I don't think they would rush you out. At dinner, I've seen families and others linger around after they were done with dinner visiting. Since they also have a bar area and upstairs a pool table, I think they are used to people staying a while. I always say, if you tip the server well for tying up the table, they never seem to mind.
