The staff was friendly. The food selection was good. The sweet potato fries were great! The local wine list was a great touch and a good way to introduce guests to local wines.
The sandwiches were well prepared. The BLTA says it had "thick bacon" but the bacon was paper thin (for $18). House made chips probably the best locally made chips we have ever eaten.
My husband and I started our meal with the best onion rings we’ve ever eaten. Then we shared the Berry Hill Salad which was delicious and followed up with the superbly flavored artichoke pasta. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Berry Hill Bistro in Paso Robles The place was nicely decorated for the Christmas holidays. I enjoyed a cup of pea soup and then had their Berry Hill salad with ahi. There is an additional charge for adding...a protein choice. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and onion rings. He also enjoyed a glass of wine. Service was very good.More
We had come directly fromviewing the Light show and thsi place was recommended by the frontdesk staff at our hotel. The menu is a little limited for dinner but we all found something to order. We started with an Italian wedding soup which was served...hot and was really tasty, warming our cold bones from being outside for the light exhibit. I ordered the salmon while the others selected the ribs. My salmon was good, but seemed rather small for an entree, only a little over 2 inches by 6 inches in size. The others enjoyed their ribs. Overall, it was a good choice for an informal dinner meal and reasonably priced. Give it a try.More
Had a great birthday celebration at Berryhill. We particularly loved the appetizer menu including fried pickles. Great feature is no corkage fee if you bring in a bottle of local wine, then $15 for the second. We brought two. Can’t wait to return.
We were looking for somewhere reasonably priced to eat and came across this nice little place. It was quite busy with a good mix of families and couples. The staff were very friendly. The menu was not extensive but suited us and we had Fish...and Chips and Chicken Masala with a bottle of the Penman Cabernet, which was reasonably priced compared to the cost of wine in other establishments in town. We knew they were busy but it took a long time for us to be served. Our server came over to apologise for the delay and after we got our food, she came over again to apologise. I don't mind waiting as long as they keep me informed and this was what she did. The food was good and well cooked although I though the masala sauce was a bit thin.More
My wife and i along with traveling friends had very good salads for lunch. The servers were pleasant and efficient. The prices were fair. We returned a second time for a very enjoyable lunch.
Friendly staff, with an attempt at some creative food, but not too many choices. Standard salads and sandwiches although the Duck Salad meat was tender. They were trying, but overall it was disappointing.
The food was good - something for everyone - sitting outside was very nice - wait staff was friendly - service, fine - imagine this is a solid standby for locals -
I’ve eaten here several times and it is always a great place to go with friends for lunch. Terrific sandwiches and salads and reasonably priced food. Tends to get full fast so plan accordingly.
We came as a group of 5 and there was only one other party in the restaurant. The waitress was friendly and attentive, but I have the food was .... meh. Nothing inspirational, far more casual than I expected. The atmosphere was on the sterile...side. I didn't hate it but I don't think I'd come back as there are many better dinner establishments in the area.More
For consistently good food at reasonable prices you can't beat Berry Hill. Sidewalk dining in good weather or comfortable indoor seating. Clam secial on Tuesdays is outstanding.
We stop in Paso Robles for lunch when we travel between San Francisco and S. California. We have tried several of the restaurants around the town square and have found Berry Hill to be consistently good. The interior is meant to be akin to a...French Bistro. Food is served in generous portions and is tasty. Service is also very good. They serve wines, beer and alcoholic beverages as well. There are tables for outdoor seating in the warm weather. For a good place for lunch this place is hard to beat.More
