Fabulous Italian restaurant! The food we ordered was wonderful - my husband had the osso buco which was so flavorful and fall-off-the-bone tender, and I had the fettuccine salsiccia, which also had great flavor (and the pasta is homemade!). The restaurant is small so definitely...make reservations. We throughly enjoyed our meal and experience there and will dine at Il Cortile again.More

What a wonderful find in Paso Robles. This restaurant was lovely. We had the fish special and the risotto of the day and both were delicious. We also had a nice bottle of local wine and the cannoli- yum and yum. Our waiter was attentive,...nice, funny and handsome. The owner stopped by the table to check on us. We will definitely be back to this restaurant.More

The restaurant’s only vegetarian option was ravioli in butter with a few asparagus tips, offered because the single veggie option on the extensive menu was not available. The salad was swimming in dressing. The pasta was bland. The service was indifferent. The price tag was...high. The wine was good. I would not recommend this restaurant.More

Couldn't have been better. Loved my pasta. Had a great waitress and bartender was fantastic. My husband likes his scotch served a certain way and the bartender did it perfectly. I had a really great L'aventure wine that I'd not had time to visit the...winery for. Decent value.More

Enjoyed dinner here with another couple. We brought our own wine (and had their usual corkage fee). Wife had the thick pasta noodles with boar, friend had the sea catch fish, veal chop, I had rib eye. My rib eye was more in the medium...side of “medium rare” but the cut of meat was still moist and tender. They bathed it in olive oil and salt and it was simply delicious, skimpy sides of lightly grilled veggies. My wife’s pasta dish with its creamy sauce was very flavorful and tasty. We shared a cheese plate appetizer and split a fruit tarts for dessert. Service was prompt and fairly good though cold but the waiter easily accommodated our request for separate checks. Might consider going back again if we were in the area but there are a number of good places to dine in Paso Robles.More

We expected great things from these reviews, but were disappointingly underwhelmed. The service was mediocre at best, the food average and the prices unusually high compared to that average experience. Won't be back and suggest that you do the same.

Food and service were great. Had crostini app, fettuccini, lamb Angelito and Salmon. Crostini was a little rich and thought fettuccini was the best dish but all plates were cleaned. Service was fast and server (Austin) was phenomenal. Wine list was a little pricey but...server recommended a great Chianti for $60. Would definitely go back again.More

Previous on multiple occasions we had dined with our puppies and tonight for an inexplicable reason our puppies were told they must stay in the street. But it’s all great as we found a great French restaurant blocks away and we will NEVER put up...with this attitude again! Banned for life!More

The food and service was outstanding. They also have a great wine list. I had the fish special of the day paired with a glass of a local picpoul white wine. Lovely!

My wife dined at Il Cortile in early February 2022, during a short visit to Paso. This was our second experience at the restaurant, and again proves that this is the finest Italian dining in the area. This is a special occasion/date restaurant by any...measure. We highly recommend the “poached egg” antipasti dish, which is serve over amazing polenta dish. Delish! We split a pasta and entrée, which was a ossobuco-type dish. Fantastic. Best that I’ve ever enjoyed. The wine list was decent, and we enjoyed a dry Italian suggested by the waiter. Highly recommend this place, and encourage you to make reservations.More

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here. The service was truly awesome! Our waiter provided recommendations and explanations from the menu that really added to the experience. I highly recommend the angolotti and the scallops.

For most people this would be an excellent choice. Due to my dairy allergy, it was very disappointing. Basically, my only choice for dinner was a green salad. They were not interested in fixing something for me that was dairy free.

We made a reservation for Christmas Eve. Everything including the service was wonderful. We started with their Crostini con Burrata was amazing. Two people had their Ossobuco and I had their Wild Boar Ragu. Their cannoli dessert is shareable. Everything was so good.

We went for New Year's eve. We sat outside and the heaters were great. The food and drinks were delicious. The water was rude, dismissive and kept holding his mask away from his face. This made us very Omicron uncomfortable.

This will be short and sweet. Food and drinks were wonderful and the service was superb. It is pricey but the best usually is. Thanks again Il Cortile for a great evening.

Sure do - there's also a nice patio area if it's a comfortable temperature.
