Had takeout from Azeens. Had many different dishes for our group to pass around. All were high quality and better than expected. Sweet potato dish with beef is outstanding as was the spinach dish.

When traveling, it is always a plus when you are welcomed to a restaurant by the owners - father and daughter. Had beef and lamb kabobs with rice. Cooked very well. I would visit again on my next trip.

Exquisite South Asian food, between Persian and Indian, savory but not over-spiced, selection of beef, lamb, chicken, veggies and mounds of rice. Quite, comfortable rooms, attentive service, very amiable, and well worth the experience!

The food was very sloppy, they were very cheap on the volume of the food , and highly overpriced. The service was super slow as well . If you want to have a real afghan food , please save your money and most importantly your time and look elsewhere, because this place is not a good example of an afghan... More

My husband and I ate in this delightful place in March, 2015. Everything that we had was outstanding. Neither of us had eaten Afgani food before and it was a very pleasant surprise. Although reminescent of Indian and Persian cuisines, it's really very different than anything we ever had before. The aushak was wonderful as were the lamb pallaw, beef... More

My husband and I recently went to Azeen's on a lark - we had never had Afghani food, but generally love whatever ethnic food we can find. We had several appetizers and just one main course so that we could sample many things, and we were delighted with every selection. The desert we had - firnee - was fabulous; similar... More

My friends who have eaten here several times convinced me to try Azeen's and I was glad they did. Kinda like Persian, kinda not. We went as a group, 7 or 8 of us and had a fine meal. They did the the ordering, me the savoring. We brought all kinds of wines to pair, bubby, reislings, white burgs, red burgs,... More

Given the reviews on Tripadvisor I had high expectations. However, the food was pretty dreadful. The spinach dish was a pile of overcooked unseasoned frozen spinach. The butternut squash dish was four chunks of squash that had been boiled in sugary water - at least it was topped with yogurt. The eggplant dish was edible but tasted as if it... More

I stayed in Pasadena for 3 week for a business trip. I tried many fancy restaurants and many locals or chains. This was the best, THE BEST food I had. I got the Chupan Kabab, and my lamb shops were so tender and delicious that was not comparable to the fancy restaurant like Chop house; The brown rice was amazing, even the... More

Overall: Fabulous food. Excellent value (plentiful, quality food at reasonable prices). Ambiance and service are pleasant and competent. Azeen's food is not spicy (except the green dipping sauce) or like most middle eastern food. The variety of delicious options ranges from delicate pasta dumplings to skewers of perfectly roasted meats. Rice dishes are the most plentiful. Order a combination appetizer... More
