There's not that many Mexican Restaurants or any other restaurants that will offer you a free meal on your birthday. Rubio's is an exception. If you sign up for their rewards program, they will email a coupon to you for your birthday and you can select any burrito or tacos free of charge. That's a small price to pay to... More

Very typical Mexican restaurant. The food was good but I would say it was your average Mexican restaurant.

I was so surprised by Rubio's I returned a couple of times. The food was fresh, healthy and tasted great. The salsa bar was great. Service was stunningly great. They were very busy on Easter and service was a bit slow (unlike my other visits) yet the cashier brought out guacamole and chips to all who were waiting! Nobody even... More

We frequented Rubio's for lunch or a quick dinner in between conference sessions. I'm a huge fan of Tex-Mex style food and can't always get the best back home in New England. It was nice to be able to get some good fish tacos and healthier options vs. the Chinese food or burger places nearby. I tried a number of... More

This restaurant got inundated at lunch with people from a conference nearby. They kept up so that no one had to wait too long and couldn't make it back in time. The food was good and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could get a sangria to drink with my lunch. It was very tasty. This is good... More

Locally owned, fresh food. Great service, clean dinning room. We ate there twice during our stay, and both times the food and service were spot on!

I eat at Rubios all the time, so we were really happy to find them on the second floor up some stairs, while we were at the SCaLE conference at the nearby convention center. The quality is consistent, and I love the changing fresh seafood options every time.

My wife and I stopped at Rubio's for a quick lunch before seeing Bridge of Spies (which was incredible, by the way). The food arrived quickly, and choices of salsa ranging from mild to hot were made available. There were people dining there, but it wasn't so crowded that finding a seat was difficult. My wife said that her chicken... More

I got introduced to fish tacos here in 1986! I've never had better any other taco place in So Cal! Prices are great, halibut or other fish are fresh and delicious. My favorite fish tacos in the world!

All Rubios are good and inexpensive. Excellent fish tacos of many types. This locale also had very attentive and polite wait staff, and was quick and accurate. They deserve a nod. During Christmas, ask about Rudolfo the red nosed snapper LOL.
