We were staying just up the street at the Marriott Courtyard, and so, this restaurant was just about the closest. Had not been here for a number of years (last review 2010), and, my, have things changed. Service is outstanding now. We remembered how it had been, and sort of dreaded to be in the same situation. But, no, the... More

It was our 47th wedding anniversary that week and we wanted to stop off somewhere special just for lunch before arriving our final destination. This place did not disappoint...the restaurant was very cozy/warm feel and service was courteous and prompt. Our lunch was extremely good. We started off with tomato bisques, small salad and hot sandwiches; pork with brie cheese... More

I've been to this spot at least 4 times and previously, it was always a good experience. It caught my eye initially because they serve Sweetbreads, and I love Sweetbreads. Well, the Sweetbreads didn't disappoint, they were as delicious as ever. However, they were the only good thing we had. The onion soup was a very small portion and was... More

We had a delicious dinner during the DineLA week. Didn't expect much due to the lower promotional price, but all 4 of us were impressed. We had french onion soup, escargot, steak 3 ways, fish - all were very good and rather generous helpings too for French cuisine.

We had a lovely dinnet at this 'almost french' restaurant. I had the three courses fixed august menu availlable at 32$. I chose a delicious lobster bisque, the two different lobster tails and a very good chocolate cake. My family chose a different meal, one including pasta and one fish, and two different soups: everybody was happy. They have a... More

The special fixed price menu lives on until August 31, 2016. My Sweetie and I had the "Trio of Meats" from the list. We stated out, after our Martinis of course, with both Caesar Salad and French Onion Soup. We then had our delicious meats with some potato and veggies, and finished the evening up with the hot chocolate cake.... More

We had a late night dinner at Cafe Bizou. The restaurant was surprisingly empty compared to others on the block (which was fine for us). We shared appetizers of the berry salad, mussels & fries in white wine, and veal sweetbreads. All of the dishes were very good and it was more than enough food for us (appetizer portion size... Visited Cafe Bizou twice while in Pasadena at the end of 2015. Food is tremendous and the staff is very attentive. One of my favorite dining experiences while in Pasadena.

The bartender served 3 walk ups before he directed his attention to my husband and I who waited about 15 minutes for service while seated at the bar. By then, our table was ready. The service in the dining room was fantastic. The restrooms were spotless. The ambience was eclectic. The 1920's theme was typical Los Angeles and I enjoyed... More

Locally famous for the freshest food prepared consistently well. Definitely a date night or special occasion venue with reasonable prices. Valet parking is very convenient in a good Old Town Pasadena location.
