Overall, this is a very good restaurant with great service across the board, but I simply was not impressed with the steak quality at all. Everything here was great except the steak itself, which is the main reason one would go to a steakhouse. Everyone else I was with really enjoyed their meals, so maybe I just got unlucky. I'd... Last year, the Royce was the place to beat for steaks. Not this year. Arroyo Chop House as the Royce beat by a mile. For one thing the prices are pretty standard for steak houses, while the prices at the Royce are totally out of control -- $125 pp, before tip or wine. For another, Arroyo's red eyes, by favorite... This place has it all. The decor, particularly this time of year, is beautiful. The staff is superior. The waiters are professional servers. Many have been around for a decade or more. Victor at the bar is particularly notable. The food is as good as it gets. Prime steaks, fantastic sides and a handful of deserts that are totally memorable.... More

The Arroyo Chop House always delivers a terrific steak, good sides, and a fun evening. There are other steak houses in town, chains and ridiculously expensive but Arroyo serves a better steak. It has a great atmosphere too. Especially in the main room.

I went there whenever I was in town....it had always been a treat to go to this place for dinners. It's warm, nice service, yummy food! Love love to go again if I visit again though I do not travel to Pasadena much now.

Didn't have to drive all the way out to Hollywood or Downtown LA to get some good quality steaks... Just drove to this place and the cravings were satisfied. Very classy, high-end place (so make sure you have reservations). Grab a scotch or a cocktail before ordering your tomahawk ribeye!

A great steakhouse with a really nice buzzy atmosphere. Food was fantastic. The appetisers were tasty particularly the BBQ shrimp and as for the steaks they were served to perfection. Try and also save some room for the chocolate soufflé if you can. Overall a really enjoyable time was had by my party. Very much recommend although be warned this... More

We came here on the recommendation of a close friend. There is nothing we like better than a old world steakhouse, and this place hit all the marks for us. The atmosphere is dark and cozy and one almost expects a member of the rat pack to walk in at any moment. The Beefeater martini was prepared perfectly. We split... More

Our son and his wife took us to dinner recently and chose the Arroyo Chop House, which is one of their favorite restaurants in Pasadena. We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed, with guests waiting in the lobby. Our reservation was for 8 pm, but even at that hour, we waited nearly 30 minutes to be... More

Hosted a client dinner for 7 and was not disappointed based on high expectations. We started with drinks at the bar until everyone arrived, and then we moved to the table. It was quiet when we arrived at 5:30 but was packed on a Wednesday night when we left at 8. I started with the shrimp BBQ warm salad which... More

Description
Ever-popular in the Pasadena area for the ultimate in business dinners, special-occasion dining and after-work cocktails hand crafted by the mixologists-Chop House has a broad appeal. USDA Prime Steaks, served exclusively, are aged, hand-cut daily, and perfectly seared in a 500 degree oven. Traditional steakhouse side dishes include creamed spinach, roasted garlic-mashed potatoes and massive asparagus spears. All desserts are made in-house including the signature Chocolate and Grand Marnier Souffles. The strikingly handsome restaurant exudes a youthful energy that gives the time-honored dining concept universal appeal. Our seasoned staff makes every effort to ensure our guests a remarkable dining experience and are happy to help guide them through the award-winning wine list.
