We went to Malbec during Dine LA Restaurant Week and ordered from the prefix menu. Since there were three of us, we ordered all three of the appetizers, all three of the entrées, and two of the desserts. Although it is not customary, we asked for small plates to taste just a sample of each other's meals. What a delight!... More

Malbec is one of my favorite restaurants. It is consistently friendly and well run. The food is always terrific, although the portions tend to be somewhat large. They specialize in meat dishes, but the salads are plentiful. My husband had the steak last time we were there and he said it like the best one we'd had in Buenos Aires... More

The food was delicious! I highly recommend the ceviche sampler (I can't remember the real name but it has 3 different kinds). The food and service were fantastic! Very romantic atmosphere too.

I'm not a big Malbec (the wine) fan, but the one I enjoyed at Malbec (the restaurant) has me wondering if I've been underestimating this wine. I am a big lamb fan, and the rack of lamb (served as individual chops) I had here only confirmed my love of lamb. Very well prepared and generous portions. The sealed I started... More

Nice atmosphere, has upmarket feel but with no trace of the snootiness that's all too common of restaurants 'with aspirations'. Food was good, excellent service.

This restaurant has a very nice ambiance. The service is attentive, and friendly. I had the rib eye steak, and it was prepared perfectly. My wife had the paella, and said it was better than many she has had outside of Spain. The wine selection is limited, but we had an Argentinian Malbec that was nice. The prices are a... More

Ate outdoors on a warm spring night. Tried numerous items from all parts of the menu. No disappointments. Steak was top notch, desserts were excellent, seviches were good not great. Nice wine, nice evening.

The food here was wonderful, the service was a bit spotty to begin with, but finished off strong. The restaurant is on the small side, I recommend making reservations.

We had a large cross section of the menu, and while good, not great, and some bordering on poor. First the best, the Cibiche Classico and the baked sole were very good, as were the sauces. Not so good were their beef specialties, Bife De Chorizio and the Carpaccio. The grilled beef steaks were somewhat overdone and very tough. At... More

Let me start by saying I'm from Argentina. This place has some good food but it is far from what you get in Buenos Aires. Starting by the lack of real bread on the table. They bring you 1/10 of an inch dried slices with chimichurri, that's not the Argentinian way. The one clear thing that I felt way the... More
