Small family restaurant that offers gratvalue and authentic flavor. The prices are so good that Iwas tempted to buy even larger meals. Healthier and tastier than fast food. I have a new local favorite.

We eat here regularly for Persian food. Unfortunately today a few of the menu items were unavailable. The food we ended up ordering was delicious as usual. They have a reduced priced lunch menu and they bring pita bread with a plate of toppings as a light complimentary appetizer. Tip: ask to sub the barley soup for your salad. The... More

I ordered the lamb shank. It came with a big plate of rice and salad. I tried the bbq also. They were bit over fired. The foods were just average. But this place is really at strategic location, at the exteremly busy street and famous college. So be ready to spend times to find parking.

We didn't have high expectations for dinner after 8 o'clock on Christmas Eve in Pasadena. Almost everything near our hotel was closed. We walked one block and found this fantastic restaurant. The menu items are not familiar to us, but everything was delicious. We shared an order of lamb shank served with a generous portion of flavored rice, barley soup,... More

Having had a diet of Persian food for a number of years before, it's a great way to satisfy my yen every now and then. The lunch special keeps rising in price, but I keep buying it cuz it's so good. The soup is good and filling, as is the Ghomeh Subzi (one of my personal favorites!). The beauty of... More

Good quality food! Food moves because they are busy. Customer service isn't exactly great, but food worth it lunch special is until 4. Don't be intimidated by middle eastern food, for me it's the best food around and I am not middle eastern!!! You gotta go!

I'm only giving them 4 due to low standard service. Otherwise food deserves a simple 6 out of 5. Late until the end they couldn't figure out what veggie is available for grill in kitchen. I received 3 different answers from 3 different people. Your meal includes grilled tomato, chilli and onions. 1 told us tomatoes N/A, other told us... More

Yes the portions are large. And the rice is good as it is in any Persian restaurant that manages to stay open. But my shrimp skewer was dry and tasteless. The service was a bit slow as well. Next time in the area we will try someplace else.
