Was super nice, we talk few ice creams chocolate, vanilla and pistachio. And hot fudge that became cold on the ice cream.

On my first visit, I tried the black raspberry chocolate crunch. I asked the server what was his favorite and he told me this was it. It was so delicious and have tried the Tiger Tail and mocha almond fudge since then. I look forward to my ice cream trips here!

Good selection of locally made ice creams. Service was fast. A little pricey if you just wanted regular ice cream.

The old gray mare ain't what she used to be ... and neither is Rick's. It's not bad, but if you've been going here for years, it's not as good. After the change of hands, the ice cream has lost some of it's creaminess, and the one we got the other day, which use to have chunks of chocolate, had... More

Don't expect the mix-in's of Cold Stone, this ice cream place has flavors that stand on their own. Raspberry sorbet was flavored with nice amounts of sweetness. Cotton candy ice cream was a favorite among the younger under 10 crowd. Blue Moon flavor was good, however the food coloring stained teeth blue and lips remained blue into the next day.... More

I would rather choose this place for ice cream than Baskin Robbins or Cold stone. Ambience is very humble and so are the ice creams. I go there for the rose/kulfi ice cream, it takes me back to Asia. All the other flavors(Green tea, lavender honey are my favorites) are equally premium. Summer evenings are very busy but the staff... More

Oh my - YUM!!! I look for any excuse to treat myself to a triple scoop of local well made ice cream. I take advantage of the generous tastings to determine what combination of flavors I want, then I savor each spoonful, enjoying all the individual flavors and combinations. I prefer a cup because it is easier to mix flavors.... More

We wanted ice cream & saw a review for a shop nearby. The reviewer gave a good recommendation, but said the salty caramel ice cream was too salty. That actually spurned me to check out this local-made ice cream. The salty caramel was delicious! I would have another scoop...but need to watch my weight. ;') My husband had the mocha... More

I have not lived in Palo Alto for 17+ years but every time I go through I stop by Rick's. They have come a long way from the original shop and the gourmet flavors they have added are amazing. I am always excited to go to see what they have added to the menu. Great for the family and after... More

This local place has an old-time feel, but with totally modern flavors of ice cream. Each is better than the rest.
