The bacon, brie scarmble was fantastic, the raspberry muffin very good. I loved the breakfast, the place is kind if crowded so they try to hustle you out quick but the food is delicious. Highly recommend for a brucnh.

Arrived on Sunday morning to a full restaurant and got a table within 30 minutes. Once seated service was prompt and cordial. Fresh squeezed orange juice was great. Food was served fast. My combo omelette was almost perfect except the egg was over cooked to brown. Hash browns were crispy and brown on the outside but undercooked and white inside.... More

This cafe is busy on the weekends - tables for 2 are much easier to acquire than family or large group tables. The food is generous in portion size and fairly predictable with flavor combinations. The menu prices have increased compared to the prices on their online menu listed on their website - website menu needs to be refreshed. The... More

I happened across joanies on a Saturday morning on my last day before flying home. An amazing breakfast omelette, nice size and good hash browns and muffin , friendly staff with frequent refills, the couple next to me ordered a special of pumpkin pancakes which looked incredible with fresh fruit! I arrived about 830am and by 9ama significant queue for... More

This place was very popular with locals, but it didn't wow me for lunch. Ate at the counter, which was quicker than waiting for a table for two. Sandwiches were all fine.

Good-quality omelettes and scrambles, served with toast/muffins, jam, hash browns, orange juice. All cooked very nicely and served quickly. Sit inside or out on a nice day.

We were in Palo Alto for a Stanford reunion and had wonderful meals the entire weekend and this one was right up there. I had the chorizo omelette and it was so great that my husband embarrassed me by commenting on how quickly I finished it. He had the Santa Fe burrito and didn't really finish but a moment after... While visiting family in Palo Alto, we went to Joanie's for breakfast one morning. What a treat. The menu was very creative--I had the Hawaiian French Toast that include lightly grilled Pineapple and Bananas. The cafe is airy, well lighted, and the tables are far enough apart to carry on a conversation. Luckily, we got there early--right after 9 a.m.... More

We checked the "Yelp" reviews for a good breakfast place on a Saturday in Palo Alto (we're from the East Bay - Oakland). The restaurant and outdoor seating are both very attractive. Our server and bus person were very attentive and super friendly. That said, our food was very average. We both ordered the omelette special: prosciutto, salsa, cheese on... More

You know when you wake up in the morning and you KNOW exactly what you want to eat for breakfast? Well for me on this particular Friday, it was pancakes. More specifically, blueberry pancakes. My husband and I were meeting family for breakfast at Joanie's. I haven't been here in years and they moved to a new location since my... More
