The Palo Alto location of The Fish Market is a great place to get amazingly fresh fish (the menu changes daily) at a fair price. Not cheap, but not crazy either. It's a very casual place, and has generally friendly wait staff. (At the San...More

Nice convenient location but I was disappointed in the food. We both had Fish and Chips, fries were over done, fish was greasy and lousy tartar sauce but very good proportions. Wedge salad was good.

Even though the menu seemed limited there was plenty packed in there! Good food, good place. Wasn't overly loud. Service staff is attentive and quick.

Ate here with a business group in April 2017. Very wide selection of seafood, and our group ordered a number of different of dishes, all of which were excellent. Large open seating area can get a little loud for conversations.

Description
Our first restaurant has been a Palo Alto institution since its doors opened in 1976. With the brand new addition of an oyster bar, cocktail bar and lounge area, there are now even more ways to experience this unique restaurant. The expansive retail market remains a popular stop for local residents seeking to take home the finest in fresh fish.
