Fusion seems to be hip right now and often not the best of two or more worlds. At this restaurant, the dishes are exciting and unique - not overwhelming. Keep it simple and good. Jackfruit stew...where else do you find this? 5 different rices in...More

I was so excited to come back here after a long hiatus and was sadly disappointed. The calamari was doughy, the duck not flavorful, and the beans were bland. The cod was at its usual goodness. I've been coming here for 10 years and it...More

We had a dinner reservation on a Monday night but opted for the bar since there were available seats. We ordered the roti, Garlic noodles, cod and the banana beignets . Everything we ordered were scrumptious . The beignets were more like fried banana fritters....More

Tamarine has been a Palo Alto staple for Asian (Vietnamese) fusion cuisine for over a decade now. It is almost always busy and deservedly do. The menu is eclectic and offers many dishes which will both please and challenge your palate. The dishes are mostly...More

I love Tamarine Restaurant for its wonderful, innovative dishes, delicious sauces, and warm, modern decor. It's a lovely place for a special evening, or, depending on your budget, your weekly dinner out. I think it's one of the best 3 or 4 restaurants in town....More

You definitely need a reservation, but well worth making one. Calamari, lamb chops, sea bass are all awesome.

Food was very average and often the food served didn't match what was on the menu (eg tuna tartare full of spice but no coco...). Price are quite expensive for this disappointing food experience

This place was a taste experience. The seafood is some of the best quality I've seen and the flavors. The Chef/owner really puts her heart into the dishes. Excellent service and so much to choose from we are going back for sure!

Food was perfect. Waiter listened carefully re my food sensitivities and I was able to safely eat gluten free, dairy free, nut free, and light on garlic. I was really impressed by their knowledge and the food was both beautifully presented and delicious! Enjoy!

Description
Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
