Unfortunately, that's about the best I can say for the place. Great for a large, kids party. Too noisy, too cramped, dark, and claustrophobic. My meatballs, were large, but buried under too much sauce, to find out how they tasted. Stuffed mushrooms were cold, flavorless. Our server did her best, in fact we had no problem being seated, but she was... More

I went there for my birthday with three friends. I made reservations ahead and the restaurant wasn't busy when I arrived. It appeared not to have enough help. They serve family style meals so lots of large groups and parties. No bussers so the waitstaff are constantly on the go. We had to ask many times for water refills, silverware... More

The entrance was through the kitchen. Given this, the kitches should be 100%clean. The feel and look of walking through, was not giving this impression. Inside, the carpet was very old and worn. So worn that it was shinning in places. Smelling like worn socks in front of the bar where it was most used. Tables and chairs, the overall... More

We had been long-time customers of this restaurant because it was kid friendly and food was reasonable. We even order food for one of our holiday parties from this location every year. But we have noticed how food and customer service had been going downhill for at least a couple of years now. And as of this past Easter, we... More

Was here for a friends celebration - there were more than 20 of us. And while they advised us that they were out of red wine before we sat down, the food made up for it. The best item on the menu is their meatballs - hands down the best. Service was good, but could have been better with water... More

We tried to call in an order to go with no success, kept being put on hold. Was the middle of a workday, like 2 pm. Stopped by and had to order in person and it took 15 minutes to put the order in. Food was good, not amazing. Cute part of Palo Alto, just needs to work on its... More

We were a large party and the place was practically empty, but service was slow and food wasn't always hot. But they really lost us on the dirty bathroom in disrepair. Women's room had broken seat repaired with tape (?!) and broken lock. Perimeter of tiled floor needed a good scrubbing, esp up the sides a few inches where white... More

Typical, slightly cheesy Italian family style place. Food was meh. Ceasar salad was much better than the pizza, which I didn't care for much at all. The portions are also way off. The pizza which was supposed to feed 2-3 was really more for 1-2 people. Service was fine. All around, just average.

Buca di Beppo used to be my favorite restaurant! Anytime I would have a birthday or any type of celebration I would always request to come here until today. My husband and I came in on a Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. We asked to be seated and the woman behind the counter looked at us, then her computer for... More

I’ve heard good things about this place, so I was optimistic. Unfortunately, we ended up a little disappointed. First, the menus were filthy. We actually went and washed our hands after reading the menu. Then the stuffed mushrooms were undercooked. Finally, the pasta was actually a little cold. Oh, and the table was really small, so it was awkward to... More
