This popular restaurant is big but manages to provide an intimate atmosphere. Perhaps the colors and open show kitchen add to this. I had two appetizers, the octopus and a artichoke-eggplant skewer. Both were absolutely fantastic! The price of my glass of Cabernet however was outrageous ($18)! The warm chocolate cake with sour cherry ice cream was exceptional. Service was... More

We have dined here several times in recent years and fully concur that this is the #1 restaurant in Palo Alto. This time we had a larger party and were able to share more dishes; yet there were still more dishes that we wished we could have ordered. Portions are reasonably sized. The starters are especially good. Order several to... More

We've been coming to Evvia for many years now. Need to book in advance for reservations, hard to get table otherwise. Ambiance is quite special with view to kitchen/grill action, feels quaint and like you're in Europe. Specials are always great, but I typically get the Branzino, it just melts in your mouth. The traditional grilled octopus with oregano, lemon... More

I was very much looking forward to lunch at Evvia as everyone spoke highly of it, and I believe it has a "Bib gourmand" by via Michelin...totaly disappointed. Maybe my expectations for it were too high. Had the fried zucchini, was slightly watery, but okay, the beat malls were good, but nothing revolutionary, and the moussaka was served scolding, also... This was my first visit to Evvia, and I was hoping for the best considering its cost. Exceptional restaurant! Reservations highly recommended! The food was delivered in small portions but undeniable delicious, the overall ambiance was great and the staff was extremely attentive. Will definitely return!

Wonderful and tasty. Atmosphere cheery but too noisy to have a normal conversation. Service was adequate given how busy the restaurant was for dinner. Perhaps more staff would have alleviated this concern. Expensive unless for a special occasion.

Evvia is one of Palo Alto's most consistently good restaurants. Our service was excellent that might - and the octopus and the baby lamb cops were particularly wonderful!

Since Evvia opened many years ago, it's always my go-to special occasion restaurant as well as when just looking for the best lunch or dinner in Palo Alto, hands down. From appetizers to dessert, you will never be disappointed. The only problem is getting a reservation…you need to plan, or go in for a late lunch or dinner when the... More

Description
Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.
