Husband and I were staying next door at the Hilton Garden Lunch. Decided to go for a stroll and find a lunch spot. We had a nice lunch. I had the Aztec Burger with black bean chili on the side. Husband had the Los Altos quesadilla. Both entrees were good, server Mario was attentive but not intrusive. I do not... More

Jenny, thanks very much for your kind words. I especially appreciate the distinction you made about Hobee's not being a typical chain. It's definitely not a cookie cutter operation. Though they share the same menu, each of our Silicon Valley locations is unique. Thanks again for posting a review! More

Noisy on a Sunday morning. I liked the vibe. I guess I didn't read the fine print that explains that turkey bacon is used. I wondered why those little strips looked so weird in my omelet.I want more topping to cake ratio on that banana caramel coffee cake. all was fine, but not fabulous.

I've been there three times recently with my son and my wife. They have two entrees on the menu which are suitable for Vegans: Black Bean Chili and the Fiesta Tamale Pie (hold the Sour Cream for Vegans). They are both delicious! and plentiful. We take half of each dish home for later.

Thanks for the wonderful review! A few clarifications: The Fiesta Tamale Pie is actually not vegan-friendly as it contains eggs and cheese. The black bean chili should also be ordered without queso fresco (in addition to the sour cream you mentioned) to keep it vegan. Finally, vegans also love our soup and salad bar and seven vegetable medley. Thank you... More

Hobies is a Palo Alto institution and I was so sad to find that the one in Town and Country had closed. This one near Arastradero is alive and well. They were even offering another type of coffee cake, banana toffee as an alternative to the amazing blueberry standard when we were there. Four of us met for breakfast. I... More

I went to Hobee"s because it was next door to the hotel that I was staying. I was disappointed. I ordered a stir-fry with chicken, with coconut rice, pineapple and mango salsa. It sounded very good from the description. However, the taste was disappointing. The rice tasted bland, the chicken was tough and inedible and the overall taste was not... More

I'm so sorry the Hawaiian Bowl was a disappointment! It has been a very popular summer special. I will be sure to review the recipe with our night crew and ensure that the quality and portioning meet our standards of excellence. (This should be a very flavorful dish.) Thank you for taking the time to write. Please drop me a... More

This is one of our usual stops when visiting Palo Alto. This year our visit was as nice as years before. We'll keep it on our list.

...we sometimes have lunch here & always find the food delicious. I was a bit disappointed this time when I ordered Huevos Rancheros. The dish seemed different from the last time (new chef?) & was mostly black beans with maybe one scrambled egg on top & a glob of cheese. We were on a "lunch hour time constraint" otherwise I... Hobee's is consistently excellent in all its food. From egg dishes to fruit plate, it is very good and often a bit off the usual fare.

Its a small clean restaurant and was right next to the Hilton Hotel I was staying in. Loads of choice for breakfast with quick service. if you are staying near by and do not want to have breakfast in the hotel then its good to try something different.
