Food is good and fresh yes but is it worth it? Very loud even our server had a hard time hearing us. Which my the way seemed like she would have rather been somewhere else. Her for the SC Sanford game so would we come again..time will tell but I would hope the staff, including hostesses get better educated.

Another pleasant Sunday brunch at the Mayfield Café. The Applewood Smoked Bacon is incredibly thick and juicy. Goes well with the omelet and on the chicken sandwich. Be sure to mention any allergies up front as the kitchen staff often adds little flourishes that may not be on the ingredient list on the menu.

Not sure how early in the day to allocate your calories, this might make a good choice. Totally enjoyed the Farm Egg Omelet with salsa and avocado, perfectly prepared with a touch of sour cream on top and a lovely butter croissant and a French toast entree that looked like a work of art. Good coffee. Good service. Pleasant ambiance.... More

Always make sure we stop either for brunch, or weekend lunch.. Love their scones, sandwiches, egg breakfast with amazing bacon. Salads nice for lunch, love the upscale east coast feel ambiance. BAkery next door does amazing to go sandwiches and delicious treats., brownies, cookies, etc..

The food is interesting and tasty, although a bit pricey. They have wonderful breads baked on site, lots of vegetarian options and a good wine list. At their bakery next door, they make wonderful lattes, fresh paninis and lovely pastries. The dining room is a bit noisy but eating outside under the big oak tree is an option.

OpenTable had good things to say about this place, so we tried it for our anniversary dinner. They used a flower on the table to signal the waiter that it was a special meal for us. Service was just right, replacing cutlery before the next course was served, bringing the appropriate wine right when the food arrived. We split the... More

I stopped here for lunch during my visit to Palo Alto. The place is nice, they are fast and the portions are not huge compared to other places in the US. I had the quattro formaggi; it was good but with one downside: they should serve spicy olive oil; it would make everything perfect.

So good. I come here just for the kale salad. Afternoon coffee is also great, and they will bring you goodies from the bakery.

Was passing through to San Francisco and stopped to have dinner with an old friend. This was a great place to have dinner, catch up and just relax.
