We grabbed some lunch to go for a picnic. The wraps were pretty dry and lacking flavor, maybe a tasty sauce? disappointing. The calamari was just a few pieces, but tasty. nothing to write home about.

The restaurant was quiet and near empty on a drizzly Tuesday night. The menu does not help steering you towards anything interesting, so I asked the server to suggest dishes to share for a table of eight. We had a mix of vegetarian and meat...dishes. He suggested a Turkish wine that was tart but drinkable, which is good because the beer selection is terrible for Palo Alto. The plating was not enticing. The pita was disappointing. You could go around the corner and have a superior experience with similar food around the corner at Oren's Hummus. Price was OK for Palo Alto. Had baklava for desert, and they gave us a bunch extra (being the end of the night, it may or may not have been particularly gracious, if it was getting tossed regardless. We appreciated it, either way.) Not unpleasant, but nothing stood out.More
We were originally going to go to the ramen place next door. They had too long of a line so we decided to give this place a try instead. We were both super glad we did! The staff there are very very friendly, we felt...like we were dining at a friend's house instead of at a restaurant. They have some off the menu items like manti, you just have to ask the server. Terrific falafels, beautifully roasted Turkish coffee. They have a good selection of wraps for lunch. Price is reasonable for downtown Palo Alto. However, do not bother with the baklava, they look better than they taste. We tried both the pistachio kind and the original, and we were not impressed by them.More
Overall solid Turkish food. The Meza's are great both hot and cold, as a group we tried them all. Also solid soup. Main dishes were OK but not exceptional. Musakka was certainly below the mark and the reason for the 4 points. As expected in...Palo Alto a little on the pricey sideMore
We wanted to have a nice brunch while we were at Palo Alto. We found this place on Yelp which was close to downtown with good rating. Food was OK. Service was slow and we did not get all our food at the same time....We also didn’t think price was reasonable for what we got. You could definitely find other more interesting places off University Ave.More
