Bevri serves the tasty cuisine of Georgia, a small country by the Black Sea. I went yesterday with a group of eight and we had the $38 tasting menu (about $50 with tax and tip, plus beverages)--a bargain and a great introduction to this unique...cuisine. Don’t miss the khinkali, little dumpling pouches from which you suck out the broth, and khachapuri, bread with a hole in the center in which you mix up hot cheese and an egg. Georgian wines are interesting, especially the amber-colored whites which ferment on their skins in large amphorae. Parking in downtown Palo Alto is a bit difficult. The skewered meat and chicken were a little chewy but generally everything was great. Well worth a visit.More

Curious about the only Georgian Russian restaurant in the Bay Area located in Palo Alto, my husband and I decided to see what they offer. We found charming ambiance, lovely and reasonably priced food, gracious efficient service and an enjoyable evening. Watching the cooking in...the open kitchen was an additional bonus.More

Delicious food and unbelievable service! The restaurant was crowded but the food came amazingly quickly. The signature Khachapuri Megruli (round bread filled with melted cheese and an egg was delectable. My husband loved the Chanakhi ( lamb stew). Also good: Georgian Salad with Black Truffle...Burratta. We ordered too much, took it home, and will enjoy it during the Super Bowl. Definitely worth trying.More

Nice place with great dishes. Typical Georgian meals, wines, and desserts. Funny enough most of the waiters are Russian, but the food itself is very authentic Georgian.

If you haven’t had Georgian food, this will be an interesting choice. A small restaurant, with very nice and helpful servers, Bevri offers a selection of Georgian dishes from the feta cheese covered bread khachapuri to kebabs and a great lamb stew. Georgian wines and...the strong Borzhomi mineral water. Only open for dinner except on the weekend when they do brunch.More

OMG. This is a wonderful restaurant. I know because I have been living in Georgia (Tbilisi) for part of the year every year since 2014. Everything was perfect: Badrijani (Eggplant w Walnuts and Pomegranate seeds), Khinkali (Dumplings), Hatchapuri Megruli (Cheese Bread, my favorite kind, kabobi,...tkemali (sauce for kaboB, lamb chops and salad. The salad was improvised upon but everyone loved it. I thought the chops were a little overdone but everyone else loved them. The waiters were great and friendly, the food arrived quickly, can't wait to go back. and also--got to have some borjomi again, though I prefer naberlaviMore

This is a new find for our family, who were looking for something different for a birthday dinner. A family member had just been to Georgia recently so this choice was an obvious choice at the time. The food was tasty and the spices were...just right--not overly hot/spicy but a nice mixture of flavors, especially the Georgian bread. The lamb, trout, and chicken dishes were enough to share. The wines were all Georgian and we had excellent vintages for the varieties offered. We'll definitely return and recommend to our friends and family!More

The food was tasty for me, but my wife who’s more familiar with Georgian food said it wasn’t prepared in an authentic Georgian way. I don’t know any better so it didn’t bother me, just passing it on as I got it. The service was...ok, but not great for this price point. The food was brought out one dish at a time, so either one person eats while the other sits there watching, or you let the food get cold.More

My whole family and friends love Bevri not only for outstanding delicious Georgian cuisine but also for friendly and inviting atmosphere that they provide their customers. Some tips I would give in coming first time. My favorite dish is "Khinkali". It is a very popular...traditional Georgian dumpling made of twisted knobs of dough, stuffed with meat and spices. Just recently, they improved their recipe, now the layer of dough is thinner and the stuffing is flavorful and more juicy. The best way to start a true Georgian dinner is appetizer sampler so you can try authentic pkhali (vegetable and walnut spread), creamy walnut-stuffed eggplant rolls and house-made satsivi walnut sauce with chicken. I'm wine lover and they have great collection of Georgian wines. Unique Georgian Amber wine is also a must-try. Enjoy a glass of Rkatsiteli Orgo made with skin contact in clay jars called Qvevri and taste its rich flavor, notes of dry fruits and light tannins. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Great job, team ❤More
