Fantastic experience in this beautiful hidden gem of a restaurant. It was our first time here, so we tried the “Tour of Cuba.” Every morsel was delicious. We both agreed that the Vaca Frita was our favorite of the meats. My wife enjoyed a glass...of Sangria, while I savored a cherrywood-smoked jalapeño margarita! Extremely welcoming environment, and service by a young woman named Angel was friendly, helpful, and effective. Hint: Reservations are strongly recommended!More

Fabulous Cuban food. Was not expecting it to be so good. Loved the flavors. Plantains were delicious. Chicken was amazing. Full bar too.

This small place in a plaza won’t catch your eye from the outside, but if you miss it, you’ve failed to notice a pearl. The inside is gorgeously decorated with vivid paintings and the service is excellent. The place was busy with families enjoying food...from their homeland. Excellent, authentic Cuban food, specialty cocktails, and beer and wine list. Don’t miss out.More

What a fantastic restaurant - my new fave in the AV! Baracoa has great food, nice ambience, and wonderful servers. And the food is so delicious and authentic. We had the Ropa Vieja and Vaca Frita. Both were delicious, but the Vaca Frita was one...of the best beef dishes I have ever had! Sangria was great also. And whatever you do, DO NOT MISS THE FLAN! I am not even a fan of flans usually, but this one was so amazing and big enough for 2 to share. It is so nice to see a family restaurant with a commitment to excellence in everything they do.More

I little slice of hipness in a barren land. Really really good food. Best service ever from Christina. We wish we could bring her to every place we eat. The food seemed authentic to me based on my numerous trips to South America. If we...lived here we's eat at Baracoa every night.More

I was a bit surprised at how pricey this restaurant was for Cuban food. Most entrees were around $20 for more. Yes, the plates were large but mine had an exorbitant amount of rice and a small amount of meat. Also we had to wait...for a long time for a our check to be delivered and then a similarly long time for it to be picked up. In fact it wasn't picked up and I went to the counter to pay it. Restaurant was okay but not worth the prices charged in my opinionMore

My family and I stopped in Palmdale on a trip up to Yosemite. When our looking for places to eat near our motel, lot and behold, we find Baracoa ! FANTASIC!! I’ve eaten at a number of Cuban places in Miami and throughout Florida and...Baracoa topped them all. Fresh, innovative dishes. Classics. Cool drinks. And ... live music. It’s well worth a stop even if just driving through on the highway.More

I pass through Palmdale about ever 2 or 3 weeks on business travel. Since I discovered Baracoa, it has been the only restaurant that I’ve eaten at on my evening in Palmdale. I’m working my way through the menu one dinner at a time, truly!...So far I’ve had their signature Roja Vieja with Contri, Baracoa Cubano, and the Seafood Ceviche. Everything has been terrific. The Service and Cuban ambiance/music are great as well! On 7/28/19, I had the Pardo al Mojo that Chef Blake recommended as my last dinner concluded, with the Tangent Albariño (a pairing recommended on the Chalkboard). Everyone at Baracoa cares about your dinner experience from the youngest Server to Chef Blake.More

After putting off the urge to try out Baracoa since it opened, we decided to try it out for a Sunday dinner. We weren’t disappointed! My wife ordered the Bistec Encebollado, and I ordered the Ropa Vieja. Both of the plates were delicious. The restaurant...is off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to find it. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and modern styled. Great find! We will be back.More

Who would have thought that I find such a great Cuban place in the middle of the desert. The staff was super friendly, the food very reasonable priced and I had the Baracoa Sandwich with Plaintain Chips for lunch which was very authentic and delicious....To top it all off, have the Flan! Delicious!More

Tastier and healthier, absolutely perfect and creative Cuban food. Much much better than Versailles, by miles. I don’t know how they pull this off in this outlying sleepy town. Had the regular Cuban sandwich and the pork plate.

After a quick Trip Advisor search I became a hero with my traveling business team for recommending this place. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and all of us ended up coming back here at least once during our week in Palmdale. This place is quaint,...but nothing fancy. Don't let that fool you though, the food here is delicious. As with many small places like this, when they get busy the service gets a little slow, but that is only negative. This is authentic Cuban food and it is excellent.More
