We are pretty selective when it comes to Japanese food. My husband said his sashimi on his chirashi was excellent and my tempura and misoyaki salmon were perfectly cooked and seasoned! We will return!

My first review of Shogun was almost 5 years ago. Look for it from April 2012. Over the years since then we have been many times, but this time stood out as the freshest, softest, most delicious sushi I've had there yet. How do you improve on perfection? I don't know how, but he's done it. Again, this is no... More

Great place! If you want sushi this is the best place in the valley to get it. Even if one of you don't want sushi the other choices are fantastic as well! When you pull up it doesn't look like much but the inside is very clean and organized, you won't regret it!

It's our favorite restaurant period. It's family run with the best sushi in the United States. We are treated like royalty every time we come even with our 10 month old baby. It's a hidden gem that is one of those places that someday will be gone.

The best hands down. I lived in Japan for 3 years. This place rivals 100% of the restaurants there. If you are truly into fresh fish and not commercialized product.

I have been all over the Nation and to many countries outside the U.S. This is the best and freshest fish you can buy. If you like rolls with a ton of mayonnaise and eel sauce, this place is not for you, go to Gold Fish or Big Tuna. If you want classic Japanise Sushi and Sashami, this is your... More

Shogun has some of the freshest sea food, period! Mt wife, not a sea food person has mentioned that there is no fish smell to the restaurant, a testament to its freshness. Every meal has been fantastic and consistent over the years. My wife has found some non sea food favorites. I have had several sushi rolls and the "chef's... More

After moving from Los Angeles to Palmdale we discovered Shogun. Masasan buys the best and freshest fish (nothing is precut or frozen). Always the best.

We were visiting my Grandma in Palmdale and heard about Shogun on TripAdvisor, she'd never heard of them having lived here 12 years. We quickly found out what she'd been missing out on. The sushi here is excellent. The fish is so fresh and the rolls and nigiri are simple and delicious. The fatty tuna and albacore were particularly good,... More
