If you like New York style food, this is the place for you. Get the pickles too. You have to ask, but they are well worth it. After dinner, have the cheesecake! It is so delicious and the portion is large enough to share at your table. Nice quiet atmosphere. Went twice on this visit for the hot dog and... More

Latkas, corned beef hash...who could ask for more. Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast with the exception of the caramel and banana pancakes, too sweet. The wait staff was very cheerful and attentive. Would love to come back and try some of the other choices on the menu. Close your eyes when to walk by the bakery case, oh my.

This is a great restaurant and deli, always popular with the locals. We always go to the Manhattan in the Desert for breakfast or lunch during our Palm Springs stays. Today we went for lunch. The menu is extensive and fun to read due to the vast selections available. My wife ordered the egg salad sandwich with bacon and macaroni... More

Manhattan is an old time Deli with a modern flair. Servise is excellent and food worth coming back over and over on visits.

I am in love with this place! We had planned to go elsewhere but there was a line so we kept going and am I ever glad we did. I had the best potato pancakes on the planet. Seriously. And a side of bacon which the waitress asked if I would like extra crispy. Yes please! The menu is huge,... More

The menu is almost overwhelming with so many choices. I had the meatball sliders and while they tasted amazing, the meatballs were too small. They only fit in half the bun so I only ate half of each slider. They need to make the meatballs twice the width. Really, really tasty though.

We got a tip about the restaurant from a local on the plane. And it was a good one. We were told it would be busy and it was. The menu is huge and the portions were also. Would have like to have tried the bakery but we were far to full to do that. I will go back.

On arrival here in the desert we often go straight to Manhattan in the Desert for dinner after a long cross country trip. Wether it be a quick sandwich or a full dinner they have quite the extensive menu. In this case we did this and enjoyed a Chicken melt, and cobb salad. Next day friends invited us to Breakfast... Overall, the service was good and the place is very nice looking, too bad the food doesn't measure up. So for me, once was more than enough. Okay, so I ordered two of my favorite things - Latkes and matzo ball soup. Well I've never in my life had really bad latkes before this. These had no onion at all,... More
