My b/f & I were looking for someplace to eat. This place was open, no lines & we weren't parked very far away. The ambience was nice (old-style, rustic fisherman's wharf type). We ordered fish & chips & non-alcoholic drinks. It was good & I...think we paid about $50 for dinner for two. With COVID, it's hard to tell exactly what it used to be, but the service & food were good & the price was about average for a meal out.More
As long-time patrons of Palms Springs Fisherman Restaurant we were shocked and disappointed to see how the service has nose-dived recently! So they served our food last night and THEN we waited for over 15 minutes for silverware to eat our dinner!! FINALLY we had...to go to the counter and beg for silverware! The same employee that served the food snarled at me, obviously embarrassed in front of his co-workers and basically shoved the silverware into my hand while giving we a deadly stare. WOW.... we will certainly be warning our snow-bird friends to avoid this
Place....sad to this happen to such a great place during past seasons!!More
We ordered at the counter, paid and were advised to take any table we wished. The ambiance is not very inviting, kind of like sitting inside a fish market. We ordered a bottle of wine at the counter and it was immediately presented to us...uncorked and with two plastic glasses. Drinking wine out of plastic is a thing I hate and I find no excuse for not providing glasses when we paid almost $100 for two people. The Salmon Creek Pinot Grigio was inexpensive but god-awful. I guess you get what you pay for.
We had 6 oysters on the half shell and they were absolutely superb, fresh, and very delicious. One of us had the Hawaiian Combo and I had Sanddabs. The Sanddabs were kind of mushy and totally forgettable, but the coleslaw and fries were good. The Hawaiian combo was a bit better, but the shrimp were overcooked and the mahi-mahi appeared to have been frozen; it was certainly not fresh tasting.More
We ate here for fresh seafood, which is in short supply in Montana! They had a wide selection of fresh seafood that made it hard to choose what to order. We ended up getting the Hawaiian sampler, with 3 different fish, with rice and pineapple,...plus fried oysters. The oysters were juicy and tender, among the best I've ever had! And the fish, especially the salmon, was again very fresh, tender, and flavorful. Service was very quick (not many patrons, as the covid19 virus had really thinned out the Palm Springs crowds. While this is a casual restaurant, the food was the equal of mid-range to high-end good. Will definitely go there again next time we're in town!More
The food is super fresh and made to order. They do offer only the freshest fish and then bring it to your table. Some people may not like ordering first and then seating and waiting for the food. You can get liquor since they have...a full bar as well. Fun place to hang out.More
