Melvyn’s/Ingleside Inn Palm Springs, CA Dining at Melvyn's was an absolute delight. My husband made dinner reservations as a surprise for me when we stayed in Palm Springs for a few days celebrating our 22nd anniversary. From Brian, who greeted us with a great smile at the front door, to all the waiters and help staff in full tuxedos and... More

A throw back in time. 1950 revisited. The bar here is fun, very lively and seems to have some people that visited here in the 50's. We were there on a friday evening after dinner and the bar was packed. They had a piano player and singer - both added that 50's vibe. If your in PS and you want... More

Nice place for Sunday brunch with the family. Excellent customer service. Most of the food was good like the Eggs benedict and the Chicken salad. The orange juice and deserts had the taste of sitting in the fridge too long. Would consider trying them again for dinner. Quite a busy place for lunch in the August heat.

Tableside service, tuxedod wait staff, warm greetings and excellent food make this a special place. A step back into the past when elegance and refinement were eagerly sought out. The house salad is one of the best and their veal dishes are superb. My wife loves their seafood. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for.... More

We missed out on the fun vibes as we didn't get there in time for the "musical guest". This was a second visit for me, first for my friend. I shoulda had a Vodka martini though ..

This is still THE PLACE in Palm Springs. Outstanding old school service and upscale atmosphere. Wonderful extensive menu of chef inspired continental/American cuisine. For a change, try one of their signature dishes like veal Ingleside or the fabulous Colorado rank of lamb. Entertainment nightly in the cocktail lounge, and dancing until closing. Come and experience dining and drinking the way... More

The lounge was a great way to end a low-key evening in Palm Springs with great entertainment and dancing. Melvyn himself was at the bar enjoying himself as we sang along with the piano man. Even though we brought down the average age by a few decades, we loved in song selections and vibe from this old school P.S. institution.

My husband picked this as the most special place for us to have dinner on my birthday. Melvyn's opened at 6 pm for dinner and we were the first ones there. I had the Prawns and pork tenderloin and my hubby had the scallops. Both were cooked to perfection. I had enough left over for dinner the next evening. For... More

First off the food was great & service was top notch. Try the Lobster pot pie, it is to die for. The moment I walked into this place I felt like I was transported back to the 50's. I could see Sinatra or Dean Martin sitting in this place, It just had that feel. While waiting for a table I... More

This may be the last of a breed in PS. An authentic been there for ages senior citizens rat packy pick up swanky club/bar. You can go casual but most people at least try to dress up a bit. For some reason the strains of Barry Manilow's "Copacabana" keep echoing in my head while there. In so much as you... More
