This has to be one of the best places to eat in Palm Springs. We loved the meal, and the staff were very professional. The owner was there to check that all went well, and it was obvious that she cares about her business. I was quite impressed, and we will be back. Check out the cheese board, with a... More

Zin is a comfortable and enjoyable restaurant in the heart of Palm Springs. Though too hot to sit outside for us in the summer, the patio is lovely and would be great in season. The summer specials were very good and a great price. The food is good and service was excellent. We found the wine list, though very nice,... More

Zin started out half the size and became known for its food. Now it has doubled in size and extended their patio. Very popular and medium to higher priced menu. It has a certain buzz to it that makes dining here fun. Love their steak frites.

Stopped by for a glass of wine after the Thursday street fair and decided to come back for dinner. They have a full menu and also offer some fixed price selections. The wine list has some excellent choices by the glass as well as the bottle. You can people watch from their outside area, or if just a bit too... More

My husband and I were looking for dog friendly places to eat lunch. We stumbled upon Zin. We were immediately sat and our dog was given a big bowl of water. We ordered bottomless mimosas and the two course meal. Our waiter (we didn't get his name unfortunately) was amazing! He was incredibly helpful, outgoing, and made sure our glasses... More

Let me start by saying our waiter Alex was amazing and very attentive. From the appetizers to the main course, the food was excellent. Love their signature cocktails, they are very well made. The only con was a table full of older gay man acting like 21 year olds. Don't take me wrong we are a gay couple too but... More

Our waiter Aaron was amazing. Very engaging, funny, discrete but charismatic. The salad I ad was basically a 1/2 Kg of leaves and some chewy meat. My wife had seafood (which was fine) on a bunch of tasteless leaves which put her off the whole experience. Sad. It was better than this last time we were here.

I wasn't going to write a review because I generally write reviews for places that I love and are outstanding. Every time we go to Palm Springs, we go to Zin American Bistro. On out latest trip up the Central Coast, we stopped in Palm Springs before heading up north to Santa Barbara. We had dinner at Zin American Bistro... More

Although the name might imply a red heavy wine list, that is not true as the whites are also excellent. You will not dine much better in Palm Springs.

Description
Zin American Bistro is an attempt to modernize and Americanize the traditional French Bistro concept. With Zin recently receiving 3 ½ stars and a review of “quite possibly the best food for the money in the Coachella Valley” from author Peter Osbaldeston’s Palm Springs Dining Bible, Chef Nicolas Klontz and wine director Mindy Reed have indeed raised the bar of casual fine dining in Palm Springs. Zin has over 200 wines on their list and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 5 years. With choices from the Kobe Style Beef Burger ($16) and Mussels & Frites($18) to the Rabbit ($25) or a Prime Hanger Steak ($26) there is something for everyone. Be sure to save room for some house made desserts and a glass of port for a perfect finish. Attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive service with Wine Director Reed available to guide you thru her carefully selected wine list and Chef Klontz greeting diners personally between courses make dining at Zin a night to remember.
