What a disappointment! Indoor seating was packed and smelled bad. We were seated outside in a shipping container. Ugly and uncomfortable space. Carpaccio and Spicy Tuna were decent. Both sudhi rolls were bland to point of almost being tasteless. Service was slow.

We read the reviews and saw the exterior and it piqued our interest. It’s a relatively new and intimate restaurant and not overly large. We sat at the bar and had a range of rolls and nigiri and it was all ok. The miso soup...and gyoza however were standouts. The house Chardonnay was Daou and reasonable at $52 on special. I asked for a recommendation for nigiri sushi and got halibut, which was alright but the albacore actually looked better. The “spicy edemami” wasn’t very spicy. Compared to standouts such as Yamashiro in LA or Kingyo in Vancouver, this isn’t in the same league—but as mentioned, for PS it’s good. Still, for $200+ for dinner, you might expect a little more.More

Worst venue I have visited in a while. Poor/no service, food average at best. Complained to management, extremely rude. They have no interest in feedback. I would give zero stars if I could. STAY AWAY

The sushi was tasty. The Grilled Octopus was tasty. Both were smaller than expected for the price. Drinks were good, at $20.00/cocktail. The tables are too close together (dining at 18-22 inches from the next table is too close). The biggest negative was one bathroom...for the entire restaurant, with individuals being forced to stand in line next to individuals dining.More

Nice atmosphere. Took the group 10 min before anyone came to take our drink order(not crowded) Our appetizers came out after the rolls. We got our wasabi and ginger after our rolls had been started. $20 for a old fashion that wasn’t that great. I...love me some sake but that too was overpriced, didn’t order any. The rolls were good but I expected better for the price.More

I’ve been here many times by myself and loved the experience. This time I brought my husband, a self proclaimed sushi snob and he almost fainted when the bill came. We had a signature sushi roll, hamachi, and the Lollipop. One glass of medium grade...whiskey all for the low price of $175. Seriously, the sushi is good, but it not a stand out. We’ve eaten at a certain famous sushi place in Vegas many times and had more to eat for less money. I just don’t get why Sandfish overcharges for their sushi. I do know another place in town that serves great sushi for 1/3 of the cost but they close early! I will not be coming back here. Ever.More

I did not think I was a fan of sushi, but this place was recommended so I tried it. The server was so helpful. I had the sandfish signature roll, and it was one of my all-time favorite meals.

Best sushi in town! The cocktails are crazy and the sushi are succulent. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is very friendly and professional. Don’t forget to book a table.

We prefer their sister restaurant in Plam Desert. A few different items here, but much of the same. Wagyu roll was uninteresting and slightly off tasting, maybe because your taste buds don't expect the beef on a roll? Service was great. Small seating area inside...and waiting outside for your table can be brutal in the heat. Won't go back.More

We had a wonderful experience here for my husband's birthday in April! We didn't have a reservation and waited about 20 min (got there on the earlier side, around 5:30). We were sat on their cute patio. I'm vegan and they were so happy to...accommodate. Everything was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back!More

This was my last meal in town with my sister and I accidently left my credit card. I did not realize until I was several hours out of town. I called and they said yes they had my card, then I asked then to mail...my card and gave them all my info. She said she would have to get approval from a manager and said she would call me back. NOTHING....so I assumed they mailed my card. After a week, if was clear they had done nothing. So, my friend was going to Palm Springs, and I asked him to pick it up. I called twice to let them know he would pick it up, again NOTHING. So, he went in there and they said they did not have my card. I had him go back and facetime me on the phone and the female manager said she would get back to me tomorrow. Again nothing. I called again and was told she would talk to the general manager and get back to me yesterday. Still nothing. Canceled my card. THEY ARE THE WORST!! And food is overpriced!!More

Absolutely delicious meal! I made a reservation earlier in the day to sit at the bar. Service was fantastic. Bartender was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Food arrived fast and fresh. Food runner was also friendly and knew the ingredients when asked. I...would definitely go back here.More

Dont know where to start. Reservation at 7:30 got seated right away. There were 6 tables already seated outside. Had literally NOBODY approach us at our table for 30 minutes. No water, no “ Hey, I’ll be right with you” , nothing. I had to...flag down a hostess to ask for a waiter. Still had to wait another 10 minutes before a waitress showed up. We gave her our drink order , appetizers order and meals seeing the delay in getting her there to start with. Drinks came within 10 minutes Apps followed within 15 minutes so we felt like things got back on track. Everyone ordered a “roll” 3 orders came out about 20 minutes later. We are now almost 90 minutes in and still were missing half of our meals. Waitress came out to apologize and said the other orders should be out soon. Manager actually came over and said he would get the remaining orders immediately. Waited another 15 minutes and still nothing. Got up and 5 of us went to the car. I went inside to speak with management. Waitress was very apologetic. It wasn’t her fault. We still tipped her. Manager took 35% off the bill. I paid the bill and left Unfortunately don’t feel like I would go back but it could have been an anomaly. Either way, disappointing experience.More

Great small restaurant with indoor and patio seating. Massive menu and plenty of choice. Service very friendly. We had the gyoza chicken, sashimi of salmon & tuna and 2 signature rolls. All was so good we decided to get the pork bun rolls as well....Nice selection of wines and of course whiskeys. We were seated in the open container with a noisy group of 5 but that did not spoil our evening. On the contrary! A must visit when in Palm Springs.More

Sandfish and Workshop have always been our top two restaurants in Palm Springs. This is where we would always take out of town guests for the best food and service in town. Our dinner last night at Sandfish was about the worst we have had...in town yet. Both food and service were inexcusably poor. We waited almost one hour for a simple roll while our guest had their entree tuna served and completed before us. Three times the waiter came out to say it would be coming soon. We typically order in sequence as we feel. By the time the roll came we were ready to leave and did not bother ordering more food. My spouse ordered a cocktail and was served something he did not recognize. He drank it thinking that he had ordered the wrong thing. Then looking at the menu it was apparent he was served a different drink than ordered. The waiter insisted it was the right one and that it was meant to contain jalapeño peppers. Then the manager who was standing nearby stepped in and said it would be replaced. What came out was probably the correct one, but it was a totally different cocktail than the first. The waiter did not know what he was serving. The tuna dish was bland and overcooked. It looked like an unappetizing gray mess on the platter. The roll we waited an hour for was poorly made and sloppily plated. Even the wasabi was on a plate in a green liquid pool and not a paste. I would have ordered another cocktail typically, but did not want to take the risk. We really wanted to get out of there ASAP. I was embarrassed having taken an out of town guest to dine there. Also, it was the first time we had eaten on the front patio. The service seemed slower there and it was colder than the terrace. The bill came to $140 for the three of us. Restaurants can have bad nights and you always give them another chance. This was so off that we have decided to scratch Sandfish off our dining list for the future.More
