We tried several things and have to say some things were excellent (cevapcici - the skinless beef sausages (i.e. kebabs) and crispy potatoes, as well as the stuffed cabbage rolls). And some were average to awful (the schnitzels average, jager sauce below average, and the...lemon caper sauce was so awful you could vomit). The sides of potatoes and spatzle were ok. Have to say, it's like going to a relative's house and having an average meal. That being said, the owner and staff are fantastic and really make you feel at home. It's crowded and buzzy. But $37 for a schnitzel plus extra for a sauce --and a schnitzel that is small--is just too much. I'd rather go into Palm Springs and pay a tiny bit more for a true and fantastic Austrian schnitzel. I would be willing to come back here and stick to the cevapcici, ripped potatoes and sausage plates but was so sad about the schnitzels. Parking is easy within the strip center.More

While a mixture of culture, the Swiss/Austrian/Bavarian experience is very good. Schnitzel. Just great. Person beside me was from Switzerland said many friends come here for closest to authentic you can find. Great beer.

We had heard about this place and were excited to check it out. I'm part German and am used to german cuisine. Couldn't wait to go! We got there and it was packed! It was a warm cozy atmosphere and I was so excited. We...ordered our drinks a pretzel with cheese sauce and some sausage appetizers. The pretzel came with some cream cheese stuffed in a small plastic container. Not what I expected but the pretzel and sausages were delicious. Our main course took 1 hours and 20 minutes to arrive. We ordered a second round of beer to pass the time. The waitress told us they were swamped with take out as well. When the food finally arrived I was so disappointed. I had ordered the schnitzel and what arrived looked like a frozen schniztel patti you buy and reheat. Real schnitzel is thin veal slices that are pounded, breaded and fried. It was not anything like it. The meal was either not heated enough or sat under a heat lamp waiting too long. I can not give judgement on other dishes but I will try this place again and order something different to give it a chance. Just don't order the Schnitzel! You will be disappointed. I will return to my favourite haunt in Palm Springs for that one! Ona positive not --it is a fun place to belly up to the bar and feel the gemutlichkeit!More

Reading the reviews we had to try Alps Village as we both love wienerschnitzel, the restaurant was clean and we were efficiently seated. Our drink order was taken and quickly appeared on our table, our food order was taken and similarly was delivered to the...table in short order. The efficiency is what you expect of any German business!. While the service was prompt the food was bland and uninspired compared to schnitzels we have eaten in other parts of the world including Bavaria. Disappointed to pay $70 for two mediocre meals, we will not returnMore

Loved this place. Excellent food, good portions and excellent service. Make sure you reserve online for a table. It’s a busy place.

We LOVE ALPs. The food, atmosphere, Z , THE GENTLEMAN AT THE DOOR AND MAMA. FOR 6 years we have taken friends, family and business folks there. Tonight SORRY the bartender Nickoli was awful. No smile, acted like we were a bother way too full...of himself. We will still give ALPs our business but stay away from the bartender.More

We ordered the Bratwurst and Eggs and the Bratwurst Eggs Benedict. Perfectly cooked eggs, crispy potatoes, a really nice bratwurst and a generous serving of hollandaise. Very friendly and efficient service. Can’t wait to go back!

Over-priced and underwhelming. 1) Although I got a seat at the counter right away and my order was taken quickly, it took a while for the food to arrive. 2) While waiting for the food and while consuming the food, I was facing the bartender...who kept chewing his gum with an open mouth flashing his teeth. It was disgusting to watch him and I tried to keep busy with my phone and the TV. I guess he must have been one of the owners because as his boss I would not tolerate such display of bad manners. 3) Food: I tried the Gypsy Schnitzel and was disappointed. The intention and the recipe suffered from bad and slow service. The Schnitzel itself could have been pounded a few more times to better resemble a typical Schnitzel (very very thin). The breading must have been nice and crispy before it got soggy with the sauce and waiting for service. The sightly spicy sauce was the best. I had the ripped potatoes and 1/2 of them were pretty good - the rest was overly burnt/fried to eat. Now, this was on a Saturday evening. Maybe, on a more quiet day and if I don't have to face this gum-chewing dork, I will give the pizza a try. They say it's a 'European style' pizza but I have not inquired yet if they make their own dough. Not sure if I can work up the courage to give them another chance.More

Great authentic German meal. We had several schnitzel options - vegan, chicken & pork. Don’t miss out on the spaetzel - so good. Also had the chicken cabbage soup, German pretzel & fondue- all delicious. Our server provided great service & comments on the menu...as we had trouble deciding what to order. Nice experience! I think it’s family owned which we like to support😊More

Made a reservation for 6pm via Open Table. Upon arrival at 5:50p Seater/owner said we’d be seated shortly. We were seated 40mins later. Waitress was prompt in taking our order and 40mins later we received our food after 2 reminders about our order. We over...ordered based on waitress’s description of the portion sizes. Food was good, but the service negated the positive. Very little in way of an apology.More

The restaurant serves mainly German and Balkan dishes. Their schnitzel is first class, as is the gulash. Try the cevapceci - litlle Balkan sausages, as an appetizer. The beers on tap from Germany are some of the best in the world.

We visited here in May of 2020. Owner served us who was so pleasant and helpful. Fun atmosphere, nice patio outside. Servers attentive and helpful. Food served fast. German beer served in frosty mugs was fresh and very good. The German food was delicious. We...all got the combo platters. The bratwurst and schnitzel were outstanding. Highly recommend this for a nice dinner out with friends or family.More

I would have to rate this spot highly because the service is very good, friendly, and fast, and the food for the most part is very flavorful. However, I did not like my cabbage rolls ( in spite of the fact that our server told...us that everybody loves them and they are very tasty) as they were in my view very bland and almost tasteless. With no "special sauce" available to flavor them up, I found them to be disappointing. Everything else was enjoyed by my fellow diners, incluking the borscht and goulash and sausages. I also really liked my Spaetzle. Only the Cabbage Rolls missed the mark.More

We had cabbage rolls, jagerschnitzel, sausage plate, cabbage soup, giant pretzels, with spaetzle, sauerkraut and potatoes - all delicious. The kids had buttered noodles.
