Beautiful setting at base of mountain. Indoor and outdoor patio dining which is the best. Food is so delicious. We had fresh sliced tomatoes with balsamic and Parmesan followed by crispy calamari. Then house made ziti which is world class. And for the entree veal...Parmesan which was crispy edges tender and flavorful. Dessert was Tiramisu best I have ever had.More

Dined on patio covered alcove. Was nice until tables filled and then was too noisy for table conversation. Elliot server was attentative but not intrusive. Burrata salad ok. Kale salad excellent. Pappardelle Bosco ok. Portobellini good but too salty for me. Had to call for...reservations and restaurant called to confirm.More

We made a reservation in person for March 4th and in their paper and pencil reservation system they put March 3rd. Needless to say we missed the reservation and the meal. The service is outstanding, all staff wear masks and the ambience and food is always delicious. Our favorite restaurant in the desert because their standard is so high.

This was a highly anticipated visit based on personal recommendation, however highly disappointing. Lucy as the host was exceptional. Low points included a very bland rigatoni dish with shaved beef, which was replaced graciously with a plate of flavorless spaghetti with bolognese sauce. While the...server Giada was gracious in addressing our concerns as well, she lost a good rating by giving us a check that included two items that we did not even order. How does a server 'not' review a bill before delivering for payment? So overall, a disappointing outing at a restaurant that should have delivered a great meal.More

I've eaten here before but for a business function. This visit was for my birthday. I was not disappointed. We started our meal with the Pasta Fritta, which is fresh dough, fried and salted. It was tasty, but there was little salt. I ordered the..."Lenny's Pasta" linguine dish that came with a white wine sauce and had a whole lobster tail, shrimp and calamari. It was very tasty and filling, but light enough to be able to enjoy desert! My wife ordered the Filetto Di Manzo which is a beef tenderloin service filet style. It came with vegetables a potato. My wife said it was very flavorful and tender. For dessert I had a puff pastry filled with vanilla ice cream and covered with chocolate sauce... and a candle. Next time I may have dessert before dinner!More

Perfect dinner and service. What a wonderful dinner with excellent menu and best service ever. You will be fortunate indeed to have Marco working on you table. He is outstanding!! And the setting outside is as if you have been transported into a Tuscan courtyard....Put this restaurant on your Palm Desert bucket list. Just sayin.More

We had the absolute best service by Shane. It was a busy evening and we watched him hustle & bustle...and he kept us entertained & well taken care of! I took my Mom while visiting Palm Desert. Being Italian, we are hard to please and...La Spiga & Shane did not disappoint! This restaurant came highly recommended from the owners of La Fe Wind Bar. My wife, adult daughter and I had dinner here while on vacation it Palm Springs. It was superb. The food the service, the setting were all exceptional. I had their special salad - melon, greens, radish, crab and mango - incredible. The ladies had an...appetizer of fresh dough bread that was salty and scrumptious. For the main I had veal parmesan. My wife had the filet, and our daughter had the penne with pork sausage. All in all a wonderful experience. Our bill with tip was $328.More

La Spiga owners are friendly and make you feel special. The outdoor patio is amazing with lots of private spaces. And the view of the mountains is lovely. The food is fresh with amazing flavors. All the sauces they make are delicious. Branzino is fresh...white fish and prepared a couple different ways. The pasta dishes special. Never had a bad meal here.More

We were seated on the outdoor patio with its lush garden and statues. Our server was excellent. Drinks and Buratta appetizer delicious along with cheesy bread we ordered. My husband's meal of pasta, seafood, a lobster tail was very good. Son had Rack of lamb,...myself jumbo shrimp with pasta. We tried the Tiramisu and was the best ever we tried so far in the area. Although there was a wedding happening we were seated on the opposite end so were not disturbed by it. All in all a very pleasant dinner.More

The glowing reviews got us there, but the poor experience will not have us coming back. Had a reservation for Dinner and requested a nice table as it was our first visit to the highly rated La Spiga. However, it was a complete disappointment in...the awful outside seating, terrible service and average meal. We arrived on time and were escorted to an outside seating area along the terrace. This was a perfect view of the LOUD and ANNOYING wedding rehearsal dinner, including an MC on the mic and a video presentation. Everyone on the terrace was distracted by the rehearsal dinner activities. Regrettably, even the restaurant's music was drowned out. It should be noted that I was impressed by the Wedding Rehearsal Wait Staff orchestrating and three person removal of their plates in sync. I was encouraged that the entire wait staff was equally as good, but alas it was not to be. After we were seated, we didn't see our waiter for 12 minutes. He finally showed up and we ordered two glasses of wine. We continued to wait an extraordinary amount of time for it to be delivered. While we were waiting a woman, who I assumed was a manager, stopped by the table. I explained we'd had been waiting for service and she intervened. Our wine finally showed up and the same male waited spilled it on the table as he was pouring it in. This made huge stain on the tablecloth that the waiter tried to cover with merely a folded rather than a unfolded napkin. It was a mess. We ordered the first course special, delicious Fried Bread and Meatballs. We wanted our Salads next before our entre. Nope, ALL the appetizers came at the same time. Why? For our entre, I had the Branzino and my wife had the Scallops. Both were average. When dinner was finished, I ordered a Cappuccino. The same waiter returned with a container of sugar packets and began to clear the table. But as he did, he mishandled one of the wine glasses causing it to crash onto the concrete at our feet. All eyes turned our way. It was embarrassing. Thankfully, we were able to brush the glass shards from our feet and were very lucky the larger pieces didn't cut my wife's feet. Clearly it was time to go and I immediately asked for the check. To my surprise, it was for the full price of the meal $199, not including tip. There was no consideration for the litany of service missteps. I tipped $28 and we got up to leave. There was no one at the front of the house except for the Valet outside. Suffice it to say we WON'T RETURN. We're not regulars or locals, and this may have been an aberration. I do believe local regulars would be treated better. But for management to treat fine dining weekend tourists this way is despicable.More
