The food was very good and we love how they do all the procedures to make everyone feel safe during these hard times but our server Anthony during the end of our Saturday night did tend to get lost and when we had the buss...girl Mayra walked over to our table and pick up our plates we had to ask her to put our left overs to go and go get Anthony since he had us waiting for five minMore

La Spiga is a great combination of fine dining service, tasty Italian food and scenic location, with spectacular views of the San Jacinto mountains from their outdoor tables. The menu is a bit pricey, but it is definitively worthwhile! I started with a Peach salad...with walnuts, which was very good and very refreshing. For main entree, I had Gnocchi al Sugo di Maiale, which comes with braised pork. That was an amazing dish; the sauce was great, the pasta was very fresh and the pork complemented it very well. Finally, for dessert, I had a delicious Belgian chocolate terrine, which was a great ending for my dinner. For special occasions or a romantic dinner, I would definitively recommend La Spiga as an excellent choice of food, service and location.More

We have been to La Spiga restaurant every year for our anniversary, and it has always been a good experience. Not so this time. It was a special anniversary, and we were looking forward to a lovely evening. We were seated promptly, ordered a nice...bottle of wine, then were completely ignored for almost half an hour. We had not even been given menus. We were constantly looking for our waiter, but he had completely disappeared. Finally I got up and approached the serving area, and found him chatting with a couple of the other waiters. Asked him for menus, and he said,as soon as he took a bottle of wine to another table, he would be right with us. Finally got menus and ordered. After that, the service was much better. Unfortunately the food was adequate at best, and I am not a food snob. The restaurant usually presented us with a small dessert on our previous anniversary visits. Not so this time. The front desk knew how important this night was to us, but I think the server had no idea. Altogether on our special night, it was a bit of a disappointment.More

This restaurant had been recommended to us by our friends who are foodies -- so you may consider this to be two recommendations in one. We arrived just before sunset and sat outside, in a beautiful space that could easily have been in Tuscany. As...we savored our selections, and watched the sun go down in the stars come out, the restaurant unobtrusively turned on heaters and small lights that made the place seem magical. Our server, who originally hailed from Italy, gave us excellent recommendations. The pasta was cooked to perfection and each of the sauces has unique flavours. The meats were tender. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy the homemade desserts has the meal portions were quite large. In all, we loved it and look forward to returning!More

Beautiful indoors and out. We sat out on the back patio. Wait staff was excellent, and very attentive. Thought it’s very expensive, and $20 for a martini in the tiniest martini glass I have ever seen was a bit much. Food was excellent.

We had a wonderful dinner last week. The food was outstanding, but our server, whose name I forget (tall with glasses), was exceptional!

We had 8 people for my wife’s birthday and from the warm greeting at the door to the excellent service by Santiago it was a perfect night. Great fish with portions enough to share, truffles pasta and great salads. Special house martinis were well received....We love this place.More

La Spiga is a most attractive Italian Restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining. The menu is excellent with something for everyone. The service is great and the presentation is equal to the best in Italy.. There were five of us for dinner and each...of us, with one exception, tried a different dish and everyone raved about the food. If you like great Italian cooking in very inviting surroundings you will not be disappointed here. And, OH YES the pour a generous drink.More

A great find! The minute my husband & I walked in the door we were warmly greeted by three beautiful ladies. Our waiter, Santiago, was fantastic and described the specials and menu to us and left us wanting to try everything! We ended up having...the insalata di burrata for our appetizer and it was great! The blood orange martini was so good! Our dinner entree’s were spaghetti alla bolognese & penne con salsiccia alla Jerry Nell and both were delicious! Our desserts were both homemade (honey gelato and the biscotti cookies)...unusual and yummy! We will definitely be back!More

La Spiga is a wonderful old world Italian restaurant at the north end of Palm Desert on Hwy 111. Indoor seating is elegant, and the garden seating beautiful. The waitstaff is very well trained. You never feel rushed. They have an extensive wine list, with...lots of italian bottles by region. The food is well prepared and at times inventive. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.More
