Four of us went here for dinner and had a great experience in all respects. This is a very large restaurant, with options for inside or outside seating. Because of the pandemic, we opted for outside seating, but would have chosen it anyway due to...the lovely garden patio with white lights in abundance. Seating was very well spaced out, so we were very comfortable with it. The menu is an unusual combination of sushi, seafood and steakhouse. We were told that they actually have 2 master chefs due to the diverse choices. We got 2 orders of the Dynamite Baked Oysters - a unique and tasty variation on Oysters Rockefeller. I had the Poke Taco appetizer which was perfect for people who like Hawaiian poke in small, crunchy shells. One of us had the Japanese Seaweed Salad, which we all tasted and liked. Entree choices included Dover Sole Veronique, Chilean Sea Bass and Grilled Lobster Tail with Truffle Fried Rice. All were very good. Our server was outstanding - experienced, friendly and efficient. And a bonus was that they had just reopened the day before, so they had a special half-priced wine rate. I understand that they have such specials at least one day each week, so ask beforehand - it's quite a deal. Lastly, Mitch was the icing on the cake. He came around to our table twice, checking to make sure all was fine. He was charming and a joy to talk to. He sincerely wants to please his diners. I wish this restaurant was near my home.More

Mitch's had an advantage as the state opened and closed restaurants since they left patios open. I had a wonderful dinner on the patio with half price bottles of wine. The jalapeño poppers are delicious. I followed with with a great plate of sashimi. The...wine went down well. I had excellent service from one of the well known waiters. I was glad to see Mitch's open and busy during the summer. They close July 18 and reopen in October. We will be back then!More

Fabulous restaurant. I arrived at around 5.30pm on a Saturday (the last Saturday in February) and it was already pretty busy. But I was given a nice table on the edge of the patio. The menu is amazing! Great seafood options and some innovative sushi...and other Japanese dishes (see photos). It was really hard to decide what to have, but in the end I went for the Hibachi Hokkaido Scallops to start (yum, really subtle spicy flavour). For the main I had the Protein sushi rolls- five different types of seafood wrapped in soy paper with no rice (amazing!). But so many other great options I think I could have eaten here every night of my trip (unfortunately I waited to the last night to come here!). Service is excellent. Daniel my main server was friendly and efficient, and helpful with menu choices (and not automatically recommending the most expensive thing, which is nice). And what is really nice is that the manager on duty (Dane on the night I was there) comes around and chats to each table personally to make sure they are having a good time and everything is ok. One last thing to mention, the restaurant serves half-bottles of wine (see photo)! Perfect for a solo diner that wants more than one glass, or a couple that doesn't want to drink a whole bottle. But you don't find them on so many menus these days, so really great to find. And actually, even the bathrooms/restrooms are amazing! (See photo). It's not the cheapest, but it is good value. A really great restaurant and I would love to come back!More

MITCH's on El Paseo in Pal Desert is almost always crowded...but don't let that fool you - like it did us at first.....just because it's busy, doesn't mean that the food is great....but there is one GREAT thing about MITCH's.....on Sunday or Monday night all...wine by the bottle is 50% off......which means they are still making a little off of you, but not a lot!More

We went on Tuesday due to the half price wine bottle promotion and found a nice sparkling wine that worked for my wife. I had the jalapeños poppers which are tasty and well presented. My wife started with a protein roll. MY entree was the...bundles kobe burger which is delicious and also well presented. My wife had the shrimp linguine with optional gluten free pasta. Live music playing in the background made the lunch ideal. The weather was nice and service excellent. We will be back.More

We visited Mitch’s to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The entire family ordered seafood by coincidence. Everyone was delighted with their meal especially the sea scallops.

Mitch’s is a fantastic restaurant with great service. We were there for lunch. The cocktails are good and sitting on the patio creates a great atmosphere. Our waiter was 5 star and attentive to all of our needs. The food was delicious and everyone was...happy with their choices. We started with a plate of fried calamari which was more than large enough for the six of us. The calamari was lightly battered and the red pepper sauce was the perfect compliment with a bit of a spicy aftertaste. I enjoyed the shrimp and lobster linguini and it’s a good thing my wife had the same thing because garlic is definitely a top ingredient. It was delicious. Entrees run $20-25 for lunch and worth every penny. There is a luncheon fashion show but the models are not intrusive if they see you are not interested. Desserts range from sorbet to bread pudding. I ordered the chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, vanilla ice cream and hot caramel sauce. When they brought it out I thought they had the wrong thing. It was a large chocolate dome the size of a softball with a bit of whipped cream and a raspberry on top. The waiter poured the hot caramel sauce from a small gravy boat slowly over the globe which then cracked open the hard chocolate dome revealing the chocolate cake and ice cream. It was truly decadent and delicious. A place not to miss.More
