Have eaten lunch at Toasties twice now in past couple of months while visiting the area. We enjoyed it the first time, so did not even bother looking at any other place the next time. Both times seated in the little courtyard area with plenty...of social distancing. Quite a few tables also set up on the sidewalk. Extensive menu to choose from. Had the Reuben sandwich first time around which was delicious. Decided to go with the Portabella sandwich next time and it was amazing. The flavors of Portabella mushroom and roasted red peppers with cheese were incredible. Did not miss having a meat for a change! Service was good and servers were following safety protocols. Absolutely, recommend this place for breakfast/lunch.More
We had breakfast here on the outdoor patio (with our dog). We had outstanding service and the Crab Benedict and California Scramble were both delicious. We spend the long weekend going to more expensive restaurants...but the service here shined the brightest.
Recently we stayed at Asilomar and had breakfast at Toasties Cafe. It's very good and we enjoyed our meal. The waiter was very friendly and kept our coffee cups filled. It gets busy so get there early. Plenty of parking.
We discovered Toasties by chance while looking for a friend’s business in Pacific Grove and we are glad we did! It’s only open for breakfast and lunch but when you go inside, it’s a cute and quaint place for a meal.
There was so much...on the menu that it was tough to decide on what to have. I chose a California Scramble and my lady had the California Benedict, and neither of us could finish as there were absolutely huge portions!
It’s on Lighthouse and there is plenty of parking nearby since it’s not real close to the “touristy” areas and you’ll be glad you stopped by.
On a side note, next to the restaurant is “The Ice Cream Shoppe”, and it’s is a “Must See” if you are a Beatles fan, or just a fan in general. It’s open at about 12:30 or so, and we were at Toasties at just after 12, so it was open when we were done. It’s an interesting place to visit when you’re in Monterey/ Pacific Grove. Make it a two-fer like we did!More
Found this little gem in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove. The breakfast menu had everything you would expect. For starters the coffee was very good, a definite plus to get the day going. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage and my husband enjoyed...the pancakes. They are also open for lunch and I am sorry we didn't have enough time to return to try lunch. We will be eating here for sure our next trip to pacific Grove!More
We were here last year for breakfast, but I wasn't impressed then. But, boy this year I'm glad I tried it again. The food was excellent. Service was very attentive and sweet.
We will be back for sure next year.
