Lovers point has a nice walled beach where you can find shade Feindin or wind. We had been looking forward to the Beach House based on the 4 star review. Service is fine. Furnishing and design are simple. Nothing to write home about. The food...was a real disappointment. Not really bad, just nothing special, not particularly well seasoned, cooked more with salt than with love (it really was too salty for my taste)More

The manager at our hotel recommended. Said was some of the best fish in the area and modestly priced. Staff was very attentive. My wife and I both had house seafood pasta that was absolutely delish.

Close to our hotel, but beautiful views and wonderful food! I had eaten here years ago with my daughter and this time did not disappoint! Our waiter was very attentive and a pleasure to talk with. The food was excellent! Can't wait to return.

Stopped in for a drink at the bar and made to feel very welcome. The gentleman next to us had dinner at the bar and it all smelled delicious so we returned the next night with a reservation. There's an outdoor deck with heaters and...comfortable inside dining. Service was excellent. Had one of the best house salads ever! Pasta and seafood were delicious. Highly recommend.More

Oudered the chipano...ok dish but the calamari were tough and inedible. Fortunately we don't visit the area that often. My wife's sanddabs were great.

Really enjoyed dinner here while on vacation in Pacific Grove. (Oct '21) We made a reservation (recommend, as it was busy) and had a very romantic table for two in the corner with great views overlooking a small beach, cypress trees, the ocean and the...distant shore. The ambiance and decor is attractive with dim lighting and strikes a nice balance of fine/casual dining without being pretentious. The prices aren't too over-the-top. The waitress was very personable and willing to answer our questions about the area. We were given water and 2 servings of delicious complimentary bread. We had a starter of clam chowder, a wine and beer, 2 entrees and a dessert. One of us ordered sea bass and the other salmon which both came with nice veggies. The main reason I docked a star is that the waitress was not wearing a mask during Covid and the menus were not contactless/disposable. (Pretty much the first restaurant I've encountered in CA where a waiter wasn't wearing a mask!) Note: We parked on the street nearby. If you found this review useful, please click the thank button. Your'e the best.More

We were in Pacific Grove celebrating our 40th wedding Anniversary and saved coming here for our last night. It was the best dinner of our trip. We got there early before it was too crowded and were able to get a window table. I’m all...about the view! My husband had the Firecracker Shrimp to start and he really enjoyed it. We both had the pasta with sun dried tomatoes. Wonderful choice. The service was great and we had a wonderful finale to our trip.More

They've killed the early bird menu. Now they have a "Locals Sunset" menu, for which you have to show a driver's license with a 93xxx zip code. So locals pay around half as much as visitors. Not a very good practice given that visitors are...the bulk of their customer base. We don't care for this discriminatory practice so won't be going there any more.More

With a patio overlooking the water, you get a great view of Lovers Point. Better still, they also have excellent food, and if you don't mind eating early, their early bird special is a great deal.

We just missed the early dining menu, but, since both of the entrees we wanted were on it, our gracious waitress gave us the early-bird price. She said the portions would be a bit smaller, which was great, as they were exactly the right size....I had the sand dabs amandine. They were delicate and delicious and smothered in toasted almonds. My husband had the pork chop, also delicious. The service was excellent.More

We enjoyed a delicious appetizer of spicy fire cracker shrimp and another of flash fried calamari with two sauces and a grilled lemon half. The wine list offers some very good values. We had the Bernardus Sauvignon Blanc from the region. The sand dabs almandine...over wild and white rice pilaf with fresh green beans was tasty, the filets perfectly cooked. We finished with a tart sweet key lime pie - devine! Our server, Jayden, was friendly and returned at appropriate intervals. Overall a good meal in an attractive setting with good service and fair prices.More

We visit Pacific Grove annually and always enjoy a delicious and relaxing dinner. Our server was excellent; our tables were spaced and we had the benefit of lovely heater next to us.Our food was outstanding, as usual, and we had a lovely sunset view. If...you are considering this restaurant, GO!! You will not be disappointed, but will have a wonderful dining experience!More

We were first timers here. The food was okay, but the alcoholic beverages were delicious. During the Pandemic the options for seating were very limited and outdoors. As well as being on a time limit at the table. Hopefully next time we come to Pacific...Grove it will be warmer and less restrictions for all.More

Decent food, service was spotty as we were downstairs and took sometime. Food took forever to arrive, a bit pricey and touristy but decent food. Probably wouldn’t come back.

I don't recall if the sand dabs are on the regular menu. It's best to go on line and look at the menu or call. The dress code is definitely California coastal; casual. For example, I have seen men in ties and sport coats... More
