Went here on a whim after seeing all the folks lined up out front the day before. Glad we did! Excellent menu, service, staff and location. Nicely set up for Coronavirus dining outside. Great coffee. Can't recommend enough if you like quality over quantity, pleasant...quiet location, and great coffee.More

Crema is very popular and the wait was already 2 hours for a party of 2 when we arrived shortly after 11am, so we returned an hour earlier the next day and waited 45 min. Was this place worth the wait? I can't wait 2...hours for any food but 45 minutes wasn't so bad. I loved the award-winning fried chicken 'n' waffles that come with maple syrup and gravy - it was decadent for sure but just what I wanted as a fried chicken afficionado. Paired perfectly with a michelada. My boyfriend was very happy with the huevos rancheros, definitely a spoon and knife affair as you can see it comes smothered in sauce. We'll be back, just earlier than ever!More

The setting and ambience were our highlights at Crema. The service was very slow and the food was average at best.

We were able to dine outside for brunch with our dog, which was great. There's a wide choice of Benedicts for those who like them. My own eggs were undercooked and I gave them to my boyfriend to eat. I enjoyed the homemade salsa and...recommend the Mexican options. The food is good but not outstanding. Service is good. Dress warmly even in summer as it can get cold outside, if you're not from the area. You can pay from your phone without waiting for the waiter -- very cool.More

Always try to dine at Crema when were in town. Quirky & charming inside— they’ve taken to the streets & created patio under trees, along sidewalk. They consistently do a great Benedict — and get the eggs perfect if you want it well poached or...lightly poached. Most places mess that up. The potatoes are crisp on outside & creamy inside. Hope you like garlic! Latte very nice too. Got out bacon biscuit to goMore

Enjoyed our outdoor breakfast due to Covid on our trip to Monterey. The bacon, eggs and potatoes were delicious but we were all really disappointed in the bacon cheddar biscuit. It was a bit gummy.

We took our grandkids (5 and 2 3/4) with my daughter to breakfast. Potions are large. Biscuits and gravy are delicious. Pancakes are large. My wife had poached eggs and enjoyed them I had waffles with bacon and eggs and they were filling to last...me until dinner. Cute little house were you eat in different rooms. We got to eat in the window overlooking the main street. Staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Will be going again next trip.More

We were two couples for brunch. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but the wait was well worth it. Service is attentive, friendly, and professional. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable for this upscale restaurant. There is a...wide choice of speciality coffees. I had an endless cup of delicious french roast. My entree of chicken and waffles was the best I've had. The chicken was fried beautifully with a peppery batter, served over a perfectly cooked waffle, and topped with delicious biscuit gravy. The restaurant is beautifully set up in an old Victorian house, but be aware that the noise level is high. We will be making this place a weekend brunch habit.More

We arrived at Crema in Pacific Grove just in time for brunch. They really know how to fix Eggs Benedict, one of my favorites. The hollandaise sauce is perfect with a hint of lemon. Poached eggs, thick slice of ham, tomato, topped with hollandaise. My...wife is a light eater and choose, a blue berry muffin and an assorted fruit bowl. The coffee is also excellent as was the service. Try Crema, you won't be disappointed.More

We hosted 28 people at Crema for our wedding rehearsal dinner at the end of August 2019. Crema did such a wonderful job, people asked me over and over again how I found it, how expensive it was, etc. The food was so excellent many...returned for breakfast before the wedding the next day! In particular, we really enjoyed the crispy polenta with chicken marsala, the delicious vegetarian bucatini, and the strawberry shortcakes. We also had a few allergies and vegans in our wedding party, and Crema accommodated them with love and care. While they included linens and table runners, I worked with Karren to rent a few pieces from Chic Event Rentals and it went seamlessly through their coordination. It elevated the space a bit to be even more perfect. I really can't express how much Crema was a slam-dunk incredible success for us. I would recommend it to literally any and every couple planning an event dinner in the Monterey area -- my parents keep telling me how glad they are that we chose Crema for such wonderful food and ambience at a reasonable price with very thorough and thoughtful coordination through Karren. The only thing that perhaps we could have better thought out would have been how to pause or lower the music a bit better for toasts, but honestly, it was totally fine.More
