Stayed at nearby Hampton Inn (about 1.5 miles away walking distance) found this place on yelp, struggled immensely to find at night waling the bizarre paths and bridges/streets etc, anyways finally found it on the 2nd floor tucked away in a lifeless harbor section with barely and people. I think over half the population was in this restaurant, so its... More

The restaurant overlooks the Channel Islands harbor providing a beautiful, romantic view. The food was excellent, very tasty with unusual flavors. Large quantities with excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere made the dinner special.

We recently celebrated a birthday by having dinner at the Moqueca Brazilian Cuisine restaurant. I had the fish moqueca, which was served in a stone or pottery bowl. I'd never had moqueca before, but this was delicious. My serving included rice, which I used as a base for the moqueca that I scooped out of the bowl. They also provided... More

Moqueca is an awesome place to go for Lunch. The location which right at the marina makes for a great view. My favorite is the shrimp salad but I have ordered the shrimp moqueca and it is amazing. You can't leave without having their plantains yummm. I have been there for dinner however, I found it to be a bit... More

Not sure how this is the number one restaurant in Oxnard. Some of the food was good but some of it not so much. The atmosphere is very nice. Do not order the scallop appetizer. Scallops were barely the size of a nickel and some half the size. They were dried out and hard. Could barely shred them off the... More

Fresh and flavorful with an unique twist as everything is served with Brazilian flare. The moqueca bowls are delicious. Service is attentive without feeling like you're being rushed out the door. Great place to watch the Christmas boat parade in the Channel Islands marina.

Harbor side Brazilian cuisine. NOT a steakhouse. The namesake dish is a seafood stew prepared in a clay pot. Well seasoned, but not spicy. We dine here several times a year and have never had a bad experience. We get the moqueca as well as the fried plantains. There is enough for dinner as well as lunch the following day,... More

First time trying Brazilian Cuisine. I'm not certain what I really expected, but it was incredible. I can't wait to go back my next trip to Oxnard.
