Bird Street Cafe

This was a very nice little restaurant, with an eclectic decor' and a nice menu, but sadly, it's out of business.

The Bird Street Cafe was a welcome addition to our extremely depressed downtown. Although we have two coffee shops downtown, there were just seven restaurants--one microbrewery/grill, one highly Americanized version of Mexican, one Laotian, two Americanized versions of Chinese and the Bird Street Cafe. Now it's gone along with the international cafe and the bakery planned by the same owners--but... More

I have been here twice in the last month. The food is SO delicious. I had Eggs Benedict my first visit that was amazing. My second visit I had a breakfast burritto, it was good, just small.

Breakfast for 2 $30. A fried egg on a large plate - a small coffee cup of really old cut fruit and 2 little sausage rounds for my wife. I had 2 medium sized pancakes and 2 small thin little sausage rounds for $7.95, and a $1.95 fried egg that was extra. Add 2 cups of thin coffee plus a... More

The food is good and the service is good. For Oroville, it is one of your better options, but it doesn't stack up to the best restaurants in Chico.

Dropped in for a quick bite of pancakes and bacon. Most places can pull this combo off well enough, nothing special. The pancakes here were some of the most flavorful I have ever had. The bacon was crisp, tasty, and you got a good healthy (well...y'know what I mean) piece of it. The service was friendly and it had a... More

This is the best place for lunch. Very good variety on the menu. Try it, you will lie glad you tried them.

Ok. Five stars. Let me explain! Oroville's a small town. As far as its history goes, it used to be called "the Wickedest Town in the West"!! So, it's come a long ways... but, part of its charm is the remaining "rough around the edges" quality it retains!! There aren't many choices for dining out around here, IF one is... More

This Cafe has a quaint atmosphere for dining. Had lunch with some friends. I ordered the Bleu Cheese, Pear, and Cranberry Salad - it was fabulous. They have a good menu selection, prices are reasonable, and the staff was friendly and smiles all around. Our server was very patient with the four of us. We had not been there before... More

Our sandwiches were very good and the coffee was exceptional. Service was also good. I'd return for breakfast and coffee for sure.
