If you are tired of all the Mexican chains serving OK food, but notreally satisfying a thirst for authentic Mexican cuisine, then get your taste buds ready. Gabbi's is where you need to put on your destination list. Fine, fine delectable cuisine is ready for the most discernible of "Foodies". Many people I know love this place. Me- not as much. It is pricy. It is different from traditional Mexican food. The place is always busy so that validates how others feel. After all- it is always packed and they aren't even allowed by the City of Orange to hang a sign showing where their restaurant is!

Visited this informal and charming place one evening in early April 2016.No wait this time( The previous year we had had to wait 30 minutes, though worth it, as it is great to walk around and take in the picturesque town of Orange with its quaint stores and shops( closed at this time), bars and eating places.Parking could be difficult... Gabbi's Mexican kitchen is so well-known and has such an excellent reputation that the restaurant doesn't even have a sign. Yet, everybody knows where it is. Nestled in fairly close to the epicenter of the city of Orange, Gabbi's is one of the premier Mexican restaurants in Orange County. There are literally dozens upon dozens of Mexican restaurants dotting The... More

Parking: Can be difficult. Just know that you may park several blocks away and prepare to walk. Went there on a perfectly warm night, so it was no problem. In winter, that could be different. Wish they had valet parking in those cases. Some people complain it's hard to find - I don't get that. Atmosphere: Vibrant and Inviting! The... More

I'd seen Gabbi's but had never gone in. When my friend visited we decided to give it a try & were not disappointed. I had an amazing cocktail (some pineapple chili concoction) & shrimp enchiladas which were fabulous. My friend had really good tacos. Looking forward to my next visit.

Heard all about this restaurant. Finally got in to try it, but was disappointed. The meat (carne Assad and carnitas) were very good and had nice flavors. The hand made tortillas were very good too but the accompaniments were no where near as good. The guacamole was bland as were the rice and beans. The margarita tasted like sweet and... More

Friendly staff seated me at the bar and having never been to the restaurant the waiter guided me with the house favorites. Try the house margarita (really good!), the panucho appetizer! You will not be disappointed!!

Why go to south OC for a stuffy and overpriced Mexican restaurant when you have Gabbi preparing the best and most creative food in Orange County. Love the Mole sauce and the restaurant is fun and festive! Make your reservations well in advance because this is no longer a secret here in Orange!
