We stopped at Jolly Kone for a light dinner, because it was near where we were staying (Ojai Retreat, just up the street) and the Trip Advisor reviews were encouraging. You order at a window from an extensive menu and wait (quite a while, actually) until they call that your food is ready. There are picnic tables on the patio... More

Great old-fashioed outdoor stop. Lots of outdoor seating. Variety menu of typical drive-in from the old days (1950s) Ojai. Good food, and inexpensive, especially if you are with a gang of kids. Years ago, I was one of those kids, so this really brings back the memories of recovering from a long, too long, big family hike. A gem for... More

There's only limited outdoor seating. The hamburgers were typical, nothing special. Those who had the pastrami and the fish thought those items were very good. The fries and onion rings were large portions. The staff is friendly. I doubt that I'd go back.

An old time burger and ice cream joint on the corner. Perfect stop when I walk the dog and it gets hot. We stop for a shaved flavored ice, or a flavored float. Cheap eats....Nothing fancy order at the window, and pick up at the next window. Outdoor seating under umbrellas, on the corner of a busy street. Lots of... More

I worked at The Jolly Kone in the 1970's, the food was good then and the food is still good now. Burgers, Frosty Cones, Corn Burritoes, the Jolly Kone has all the classic burger joint type foods. Want a quick meal? Visit the Jolly Kone is Meiners Oaks.

Cheese burger, fries and a shake? This is the place. I grew up down the street from this place and anytime I'm back in California I'll drive out of my way just for one of their amazing burgers. It's a really small place, outdoor seating only.

The lady treats her staff poorly, and rips off customers. I bought a sandwich for 10 bucks that should've cost five, I got a jr. burger that wasn't nearly enough food for even a 4 year old and I got charged a fee to pay for it. Terrible.

I've driven by this place many times and finally stopped in for lunch. What a treat to taste a good old fashioned drive in hamburger that tastes like they used to before chains took over. Nothing gourmet here - just a good burger! Better than In 'n Out, IMO.
