Arrived around 10:30 on a Friday morning in August to find only a 15 minute wait. We had a nice 2 person outdoor table, ‘effectively’ set up for mandated social distancing. (Given the tight quarters of most waterfront eateries I appreciated how they accomplished this. As one with graduate level education in disease epidemiology, rest assured this wasn’t research lab level, but did demonstrate a committed effort on the part of the staff.) Who were all excellent. Our beautifully presented food arrived promptly. My wife had (due to dietary restrictions) a weird variety of individually selected items. When I inquired of her food, between bites she simply said, “Fresh”. (I guess that applied to her bowl of fruit - probably not about her bacon. Which she didn’t gripe about. Which she usually finds disappointing.) I had fish tacos. It’s been years since I had these. I much prefer real tacos - ground beef like Del Taco did in the ‘70’s. Stratford’s were excellent! The optional taco sauce was super. Well worth our drive from Murrieta. And . . . a small free parking area is adjacent to the restaurant. (I had intended to use the metered parking places on the street.). I’m the guy who takes up at least 2 parking places on the far side of the lot with my F350 4x4 diesel. Found a great end parking place where I was out of everyone’s way. Outstanding experience all the way around!

Cute little spot with a great view of the harbor. The ABC (avocado, bacon and cheese) omelette was so good, chock full of tasty ingredients. Choose between hash browns or home fries, both were very good. Loved the coffee cake, sweet and tender. Good hot coffee and friendly service. Great choice for a good breakfast.

I like to seek out unique places to dine when I travel. On a recent trip to the lovely city of Oceanside, California, I was looking for a place to get a good breakfast. Doing a search for a dining establishment with high ratings, I was convinced to visit Stratford at the Harbor.
As you would guess from the name, this eatery is located on the harbor, so you have an open view of the water and of boats docked in the harbor. The inside of the restaurant is small, but there is outdoor seating also, which is perfect for soaking up the views and sunshine. The inside is comfortable, too, and I really like the wicker seats.
At Stratford at the Harbor, you order at the counter, then wait for your food to be delivered to your table. They serve omelets, pancakes, eggs and scrambles, bagels, fruit bowls, and similar items for breakfast. Arrive during lunch and you will be treated to fresh fish, sandwiches, soup, burgers, and the like. I was here for breakfast and my teenager and I were served two scrumptious meals, every bit as good as others have claimed. I was tempted to get a second helping, but decided it was best to save my appetite for the next dining excursion.
Beverages served here consist of the usual fruit juices, coffee, tea, milk, soft drinks, etc. They also serve selected mixed drinks and beer, which is a huge plus in my book! My meal would have been excellent regardless, but with a delicious craft beer by its side, the food was that much better.
Stratford at the Harbor serves breakfast and lunch only. There is no dinner. They close at 2pm each day, so you need to get her early. And you will be glad you did, because Stratford by the Harbor serves delicious food and drinks with a harbor view, earning it a high recommendation from me.

Hearty breakfast with fresh ingredients. Sat outside and enjoyed the harbor air and views. The benedict had perfectly poached eggs, the mimosa did not skimp on the bubbly. The Bloody Mary was almost a meal unto itself.
They add a surcharge for paying with a card but of course you don't find out until after you have given them your card. In my opinion that sort of sneaky fee should be disclosed up front on the menu and/or by the server BEFORE you order. Otherwise you are not making an informed decision.

Great location on the Harbor. Food is good and fairly generous portions. Service was fine but not traditional service. They have menus but you order at the counter and they bring you the food except for the coffee where you grab a cup and serve yourself. If you chose to eat outside and you are bringing two drinks out, you need to navigate the closed door out. Good variety of items to order. Side items items include coffee cake, hash brown potatoes, biscuits and gravy, toast, and others.

Brought family here for breakfast on the waterfront. We walked up to the hostess stand and were greeted by Michael, who acted like we were his favorite family members. His warm and enthusuastic welcome set the stage for great food, great service and super views. Good breakfast/lunch menu and very clean, this is absolutley a go-to spot.

Great breakfast spot. Open air seating looking at the marina. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Parking is in the harbor area, and lots of spaces, especially breakfast on a week day. Did a make your own omelet. Good. Ber sure and get a piece of their famous coffee cake. Good lattes. Super cheerful, friendly and nice staff and servers. They made our morning with their happy smiles.

Nice spot on the water with good views. You order at the counter and they give you a number to put on your table. So service takes a backseat. I have a bit of an issue when you pay your bill upfront and the tip options are 25%, 20% or 15% in that order for essentially minimal service. We both ordered the fish and chips. They were ok, too much breading and not enough fish. Parking was a challenge.

We went here for an early lunch, specifically for the fish and chips. However, we were highly disappointed with the fish. The staff members were all warm and welcoming! The setting is scenic since it's right on the harbor and the breakfast food looked amazing. Maybe it's a regional thing, but the fish was a huge letdown. It's breaded in tempura better and is shaped like a roll. There was an excessive amount of breading which wasn't all the way cooked through in some places...and not much fish at all! I opted from the chips with dip as my side, which was delicious! If you're going here for the fish, I wouldn't recommend it.

I think they had new kitchen help. The order was a little goofed up, but nothing horrible. The manager was super apologetic & gave us a discount (we hadn't complained about anything).
This is one of our regular stops when we visit Oceanside!

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Nice location on the harbor with both outdoor and indoor seating. The food, however was fair to average. My omelet was dry and the hashbrowns not very good. My companion had the french toast and it, too, was just OK. Service was nice.

Have been here several times before, always good. Went there for lunch yesterday and found that they are doing a renovation project therefore very crowded and no possibility of physical distancing. Some waiting in line to order from the counter had no masks. Food was cold.

The food is average at best. You go inside to order then they bring it to your table. That's fine except that the staff were not wearing masks either indoors or outdoors and the tables are fairly close together. Did not feel safe.

On this beautiful bright and sunny day, we expected to wait for a table, and we did - about 30 minutes. No worries.
The food was only so-so, in my opinion. My burger was overdone and dry. The cole slaw was non-descript. They didn't have the beer I selected from their menu. My wife agreed with my assessment regarding the food. I would rate the experience as average.

We had a chance to cruise the marina village. Very nice! Several fun restaurants and shops together on site. We chose Stratford and had a good meal, great service, and friendly staff. Would recommend.
