About
Situated on the water in the Oceanside Harbor, Dominic's is an ideal place to enjoy the sun, the boats, and a menu of Italian food. While Dominic's specialty is their hand tossed pizza, their entrees are very popular, ranging from New Zealand mussels sauteed with marinara sauce and tortellini al pesto to veal parmigiana and penne rustico. Dominic's pizza includes a selection of gourmet offerings such as roasted garlic chicken, Margarita , and Dominic's Special Pizza, as well as the create-your-own variety. Dominic's is open seven days a week from 11am. The beautiful harbor scenery is a charming addition to the food and drink, and people watching is always a great diversion.

Dominic's was a win tonight! Wanted Italian for dinner and found Dominic's!! Delicious! Calamari for appetizer was breaded perfectly, cooked to perfection and served with a dipping sauce that was sooo good. I had the chicken parmesan and was not disappointed. Delicious!! Finished with creme brulee which is the only dessert I will get!.The owner came over twice to check on us and was such a sweet man. Our server was Brendan who knows the menu well and can answer any questions you may have.

It's a challenge to rate restaurants these days with the Covid Pandemic. However, we have always had a good meal at Dominic's in Oceanside Harbor. We sat outside and safely physically distanced and since things had just recently opened up the sidewalk was a bit busy. Our server made everything relaxed and enjoyable and had no problem bringing some of the extra's we wanted, like sauce and dressing. We had the eggplant parmesan, which was excellent and our daughter is always satisfied with the tried and true spaghetti and meatballs. We try to support the local establishments and having lived in San Diego a couple of times, this was one of the semi-regular spots. We were not disappointed on our recent return visit and will head back again for a meal in October.

My husband and I were recently in Oceanside and went to Dominic's 3 times in 2 weeks. The Penne Rustico and the Chicken Parmaginia were so good the first time we went that we just had to go back. We were not disappointed. The service was very good and the atmosphere was terrific. I highly recommend Dominic's for authentic Italian food.

I want to think that people can be understood so I will give some credit to the circumstances:
1. The restaurant was short on staff
2. It was almost closing time
3. Everyone was tired
However, that does not excuse poor, no terrible service with no regard for the customer. We arrived to the restaurant and after an excessive waiting they sat us. The waitress made every effort to make us feel unwelcome, the only polite person was the bus boy (he got the tip) who informed us that they were out of bread and offer us a drink as compensation. The place has a great atmosphere, almost like a taberna. The food arrived and I was not disappointed. I had the "Mare E Monte, it was a splendid dish with a very opulent sauce that went to waste since there was no bread. It was a great dish and the whole process ruined the experience. Like I said, maybe all those factors previously mentioned added to the fiasco but "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen." We had two Grupon for the restaurant and returned them. Perhaps if you arrive early you may have a better experience, pity. But now I cannot recommend it unless we go back and we won't. I will cite the note I wrote on the bill "Good food and the worst attention ever."

Out of seven days visiting San Diego, Dominic's was hands down the best! I ordered the bowtie alfredo with chicken and a garden salad and it was fantastic.
Great service as well and the location right there on the dock made our anniversary treat memorable!
I got lucky in that I had researched places to eat after booking an Oceanside Adventures whale watching cruise and would never had guessed that I chose a restaurant steps from the dock. This was such a great day!

So it’s at the harbor… so great spot… but a tourist trap for sure. Average, not great, but average Italian food… at “fine dining” prices. Service was ok… not bad, not spectacular. No “happy hour” type of menu, and for Italian food - pizza and pasta - prices are way too high. This is another restaurant that won’t last at the Harbor…. Sadly.

Great location at the harbor with outdoor seating. We have been to the restaurant once a month for the past two months and service was always good. My husband and I enjoyed their pizza. We had the Margherita pizza one time and the Vegetarian the other time. The beer selection is always good. It's got a laid back beach feel next to the water that we like a lot. Great for family lunch. A little pricey but outdoor vibe is great, especially during pandemic.

After living in Northern NewJersey, we are pretty snobby about our pizza. But we were super impressed with the Chicago hand tossed pizza here. Hubby ate his entire pizza but I took 1/2 of mine home as it was filling and delicious when I had the rest a day later. Ingredients very fresh and seemed like a lot of repeat customers and a big menu of all the traditional Italian dishes. Convenient location at the harbor which is really cute to walk around.

Disappointment. They charge for breadsticks., and they are bland - no garlic / don’t waste your money. Salads are average, and so is the lasagna - very bland. Fettuccini pescatari was a good sauce, but no dish provided for shells. Skimpy glass of Chianti was expensive. We regretted the drive out to the coast for a meh dinner.

Our first time here. we brought some out of state friends in for lunch. The staff-especially Ydira-was great. The food was good and atmosphere excellent. The only downside is they can't make Arnold Palmers because they don't have black tea ?!?
Aside from that, worth a return trip since they also have outside dining.

We love visiting Dominick’s for the best Italian, our server Jessica was friendly and gracious. From the homemade garlic breadsticks to the delicious seafood pasta, and the pretty views of the harbor. We love the stuffed mushrooms, too!! Highly recommend.

Great authentic Italian food!
We had the brochette as an appetizer. I believe that Dominic's is probably the best that I have ever had! And I've had me some brochette!
I had the spaghetti with meatballs (the best meatballs I've had in a long time!), my wife & the girls had chicken marsala.
We stop here each time we come to Oceanside!!

We stayed at the Mission Pacific Resort so this restaurant was very convenient down at the harbor. Traffic was crazy but worth the trip. Food was excellent.
