This place is very near the the beach in Oceanside. And you get what you pay for. Fish and chips quickly prepared and served without any frills. We recommend the fish tacos, but be aware that these are very large. The clam strips and fries...are probably a good option for kids. You order and pay at the counter. This is my favorite place to eat in Southern California. Love the Fish and Chips. The Fish Taco is excellent but the fried Zucchini is the best anywhere!.. Ate here because of the proximity to our hotel and the brochure (excellent resource!). Was dark, chilly and just wanted a quick, simple meal so headed here. Very large portions of fish. The tacos were huge. Chowder very nice and creamy. The service was quick...although it wasn’t busy at that time of day. Can see that this would be a popular place during nice weather in the daytime. We ate outside on the heated patio but be sure to sit fairly close to the heaters. The person who took our order mentioned that it was actually warmer out there than inside. You order at the window and they call your order for pickup.More

The best fried cod fish sandwich I've ever eaten!! Ample servings and great friendly service. We enjoyed sitting outside with a wonderful view of Oceanside Harbor. We will definitely come back!!

Best fish & chips ever! Really fresh and delicious. We stopped off after our dolphin watching cruise at the recommendation of another tourist. Glad we listened! Also, the Staff is super friendly.

Harbor Fish and Chips is a great place to eat. You order at the counter and when it's ready, you can eat outside at the picnic tables and enjoy the marina. The food is freshly made and delicious. It's also very reasonably priced.

The service is excellent and the fish is fresh and tasty. One can eat inside, on an enclosed patio, or outside at water's edge (seagulls and other avian friends sometimes join you there). Wine and beer are available. The clam chowder shows up the fancy...places easily. One of the nicest spots in Oceanside.More

A thin piece of fish with greasy batter twice as thick as the fish. Ordered the Sampler. Got 2 pieces of fish instead of one; maybe that’s why we got two, because the fish pieces were so small. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, but it...also had too much greasy batter. The French fries weren’t all that good. But the chowder was all right. We ordered take out. The fish and fries were in one box, nice and hot. The chowder was in a container with a lid that did not seal, just sat on top. We thought we kept it level but it spilled all over, made a...huge mess. The bit that was left in the bowl was not very thick, and not much clam. I would get the fish again, but not the chowder. Their batter is thick & crunchy. And the fish was cooked to perfection! A great experience just chilling in the harbor while having fish & chips, & an ice cold beer.

I stopped here for lunch to sit outside and view Oceanside and the boats and the view was great. I ordered the grilled fish special, and the sea bass was poor quality, the lettuce in the salad unappealing and the coleslaw average. I felt it...was also overpriced for the quality of fish I got. I ate it because I was so hungry and I was on my way to San Diego.More
