This is a cornerstone on the coast highway. It is a good staple and good brewery. The pizzas are large as are the sandwiches, but full of flavor. Very laid back and casual atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the selection of beers here. It is sort of a hole in the wall but we found seating on a Thursday night. The pizza was fairly good and the coleslaw had a curry flavor that was interesting to eat. I enjoyed the sage beer for a different flavor. The staff was friendly and prompt. I would go here... More

Arriving late from LAX - just the right stop on the way to San Diego. Good service, super beers and reasonably priced food.

We were walking down the street, intending upon another restaurant, but came upon the Breakwater Brewing restaurant. My husband and I both had a small salad, after the super young guy taking our order said the large would be enough for 4 people. So the salads - I had the Greek and my husband had the house salad - were... More

My husband, toddler and I walked into this place because it got good reviews and it was a convenient location. Admittedly, we almost left without eating because it didn't seem very "family friendly." Instead, we ordered and went with it. We were glad we did. The mozzarella sticks were crispy and gooey and the house made marinara was served hot.... More

Good food, TVs inside for sports, outdoor seating for people watching, comfortable, casual atmosphere. Even when crowded, food arrives promptly. Works for families with children too.

The atmosphere is lacking and the place was packed. The beer was good, but you had to go to the bar yourself, no service. Good place with kids, bad place for a date.
