The view was great, the service was okay, but the food was atrocious. Worst seafood I've ever eaten, hopefully we don't get sick.
We ordered peel and eat shrimp, calamari, shrimp tacos, a calamari taco and their Luis "especial" seafood pasta dish.
The peel and...eat shrimp wasn't deveined, I can handle the vein on the bottom of the shrimp but not the excrement on the top. We literally had FECES in our food. That should have been our cue to get up and walk out of there without taking a bite and I wish we had. The waiters and staff watched me take a knife and cut open the shrimp and remove all the poop myself.
Next up was the calamari which was pretty bad but I guess they breaded it nicely and it wasn't too chewy. You can get better calamari in the frozen food section of any grocery store. That's mostly likely where they got it from.
Then came our four shrimp tacos and one calamari taco. It was Taco Tuesday and they were $4 a piece during happy hour. They had tiny little salad shrimp in there but at least they were deveined. I suppose because the frozen bag they likely came from had already done that work for them. The calamari taco had four strips of the same calamari as the appetizer with shredded cabbage. The tacos were by far the best thing we were served.
Last and definitely least was Luis's especial seafood pasta. I was excited about this dish when I ordered it because I typically love seafood pasta. However the crab tasted old, the scallops were skanky, the shrimp was okay, mushrooms were forgettable, the pasta tasted like it came straight from the grocery store aisle and the sauce I believe was Classico tomato and basil pasta sauce. They melted a bunch of jack cheese in there which just made it a mess. I was hoping it was going to be freshly shredded on top of my dish but I don't think anything at this restaurant is fresh.
Even though everything we purchased was on the happy hour menu, my bill still came out to $74.86. Even though I was disgusted by the meal, I managed to hold it down and hold my tongue. Then the waiter Eddie, who was actually was decent waiter brought me back my change and it was $10 short. That was it for me, I told him he shorted me 10 bucks, he looked at me with confusion and we simply got up and walked out. I suppose Eddie and all the waiters and waitresses know that the food so horrible you better just take your tip out of the customer's money if you expect to get anything.
The hostess asked us how the meal was on the way out and I said it was terrible, the worst seafood I've ever had, we could have got better at Olive garden or Long John silver's. As we were getting in the car I overheard the manager "86ing"an elderly woman from the bar for drinking too much, I assume. However the manager was the one that was yelling, making a scene, acting childish as he yelled over and over "BYE BYE". I suppose she was lucky for being thrown out of there, I wish they had "86ed"us too. Now we're just crossing our fingers so we don't get sick in the next 24 hours.More
