We didn’t book a table but happened to be passing by and they had availability so we jumped in. The interior is clean, tidy and contemporary and the restaurant has a great location. As a British person in the US the level of service is always way above what we generally get at home but our waitress was excellent, constantly on hand with advice or offering refills. When we first started to view the menu everyone made note of the slightly pretentious dishes and prices with comments such as the food had better be outstanding. Now, the food was good, I had the lamb chops, which were tasty but the overriding feeling among our group on paying the bill was that this place is really overpriced. The food isn’t bad, its just not as good as the price tag suggests it should be. It’s a nice place, they employ good staff and the food is decent but be prepared with a full wallet

My wife chose a repeat visit to 333 Pacific for our anniversary. The evening started out well with two craft cocktails (thanks for the tip on Chopin vodka) and the delicious Sweet Chili Calamari appetizer. Perhaps I should have ordered a second helping for myself and called it an evening. Instead, my wife had the lobster tail, which was tasteless, chewy and a tad overcooked. I chose the cioppino, which was an overgrown appetizer portion, and the insufficient broth was burned. Thank goodness those rosemary rolls were delicious. But when you spend "market price" (read: expensive) for lobster and $40 for a small helping of fish stew, it's easy to feel this was not worthy of a $300 dinner. The service met its suggested 22% tip, and the complimentary anniversary dessert was delicious. But next year we'll head back to Pacific Coast Grill.

We were seated immediately in a windowed area with wonderfully warm heaters (it was a chilly winter night) and a great view of the ocean's crashing waves. A busser brought waters almost immediately and our waiter appeared shortly thereafter. If you are a vodka fan, this place has over 100 of them. The menu is nicely varied. We had the chilled seafood tower. It is listed as for 2 but is easily enough for 3 people. We had the brussels sprouts appetizer which was the best either of us have had. Since brussels sprouts are our favorite veggie, we have both had them in lots of ways at lots of places. These were AMAZING and the portion is quite large. We also had asparagus which was perfectly done. The prices here are high, but not crazy, especially in light of the location. We will definitely go back (and have the brussels sprouts again for sure). Why almost perfect? The only thing missed is valet parking. This is a very busy area and there is metered and lot pay parking nearby but valet service would have been great, even if for a fee.

We came here for our daughter's 50th birthday anticipating great view and steaks, 6 pm on Sunday evening, Despite a reservation and request for view seating nothing available with view. Our future recommendation is to book something at 5 or 5:30 if you are here for the view. Service was good. two of us ordered filet mignon and one a seafood dish. My steak had quite a bit of gristle which is surprising with that cut of meat. I showed our waitress, but she made no offer to provide a new cut or discount at conclusion of our meal. Another one of the steaks had to be sent back because it was way undercooked and we'd almost finished our steaks when it was returned. She got busy and someone else finally brought it to our table. I would have expected much more attention to detail for a restaurant that we considered fine dining..

Terrible service, overpriced food. Reserved ocean view table several days in advance (also let them know it was wife's birthday). Confirmed reservation ahead of arrival to make sure they could honor ocean-view table. Arrived on time and they had filled up the patio, completely disregarding our reservation and reneging on what they had told us over the phone. Hostess was rude. As for the food, it's grossly overpriced. $$$ gets you 8oz of completely avg beef and a blob of what appears to be mashed potatoes. Left this place with nothing but regret.

So disappointed! My girlfriend and I were looking for a lovely waterfront restaurant with great food to celebrate our birthdays. Being unfamiliar with the area as we were coming from Las Vegas and Phoenix, we had to rely solely on pictures and reviews. After our experience I am really thinking that a lot of the quality and service aspects of this restaurant have decreased since the Covid situation but I wouldn’t know since I had not been here before. Of our many complaints with the restaurant, The following are the ones that stand out the most I think: 1) our server was halfway between extremely attentive and borderline negligent during our appetizer and meal service. 2) The risotto that came with the sea bass was bland. 3) I ordered a steak which in itself was pretty good, but I paid another $13.99 for it to be “Oscar style“ which supposedly meant to add some béarnaise sauce, actual crab meat and asparagus on top. Not only were these add-ons forgotten the first time, when the server brought the steak back after having added them, I ended up with what looked like a quarter-sized amount of shredded stale crab meat and two Skinny over cooked asparagus spears. When we spoke to a manager about this issue he did not offer any sort of resolution, only a very mild mannered apology stating that he would speak to the kitchen staff about how they do things, and an excuse about how the cost of seafood has gone up. Now I do not mind paying more at a fine dining restaurant for the quality of food and service but based on the other factors at this place, $14 (which was about a third of the cost of the steak entrée itself) was way too much for the little amount of toppings I received. So I was upset at the exorbitant cost and the lack of sympathy from the manager. And finally, on our way out, we noticed that not only was nobody wearing masks in the bar area, but the area was completely packed with people who were within a few inches of each other. I am not sure what the California laws were at that time in regards to wearing masks but I’m just putting it out there for anyone who is interested in this restaurant and may be concerned about their social distancing practices. In summary, whether you were looking for a fine dining restaurant, a waterfront view, or a seafood meal, you can find better than 333 Pacific.

They ruined our new year eve! We made a reservation for new year eve to celebrate the night with our friends here. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience and they totally ruined our night by giving us a table in their outdoor patio next to a broken window in a rainy night, supper unfriendly and unprofessional behavior of our servers, Steve and David, and finally very low quality food and dessert. They had an expensive three-course menu for the night, and we couldn’t order anything else from their regular menu, but our server didn’t even bother himself to explain that to us! This is ridiculous to force people order from the only available option of an expensive three-course menu without offering any other options and without announcing that when we made a reservation. They seated us in their very cold outside patio next to a broken window in a cold, rainy, windy night while there were multiple available tables inside. When we complained about that, our server said they had an incident a homeless person broke into their patio and that’s why there’s a broken window! Are you kidding me?! After supper long wait for each step of taking the order, receiving our drinks, receiving our starter (which was a joke itself!) and multiple complains about the cold weather, their manager moved us inside to another table. After that, they were trying to ignore us and every single step took even longer to get the food, get the silver set and get the dessert which was another disaster part of their meal! Finally, they didn’t serve us champagne which was a part of their menu. When we told David after he gave us the bill that we didn’t have the champagne toast yet, his only reaction was “oh okay” in a way that I don’t care, threw the bill on the table and walked away! Unbelievable! We asked to talk to the manager, but it wasn’t helpful because the guy kept saying that “I don’t know what I can do”! We paid crazy amounts of money to them to destroy our night and serve us an awful meal.

Went here on a Sunday night for a slightly delayed Valentine’s Day dinner. Seating was great “outside”. (not really outside - covered windowed room), looking at the pier and ocean. First of all, service was superb, bringing me a taste of 3 pinots to decide on a glass of wine, very attentive, willing to turn down heaters to get us comfortable. Re the food, we shared the rib/ mac and cheese, was excellent. My wedge salad was excellent, my VP wife’s salad average with an overly sweet vinaigrette. Re the main, we both had the filet trio. Wife had to send back undercooked meat, but returned it correct. Meat was tender. Dessert was butter cake, very good. The negatives? The filet trio flavor is drowned by sitting on red potato mash and pouring toppings on the steak. Regret not getting just a filet, as my test of a steakhouse is the flavor of the meat. The other irritating thing is the 5% surcharge to defer costs of paying their staff a decent minimum wage. Why make the consumer responsible to maintain owner profits to be in compliance with the law, and then hide it as a surcharge rather than including it in the price? Think about it. 20% tip, 9% tax, and add another 5% means your bill is 34% higher! Would go again, but the surcharge and overeagerness to drown good steak makes it a 4 star, not a 5 star.

This is the second year my husband and I attended a group New Year's eve dinner. Since last year's dinner was just wondeful, we were looking forward to another great dinner. Boy, what a disappointment! Never heard of a Cobb salad that consisted of egg salad and chicken(?) salad thrown on weak lettuce. Bisque came out lukewarm, my husband's salmon dish was accompanied by a lump of fried ricecake and a fried veggie of some sort. My steak was OK, it nothing special. Not worth the $70 per person! Our table of 10 was not very pleased. On the plus side, service was good, and staff was friendly. So, did they change chefs or has this place just gone downhill??

333 Pacific is an upscale cloth-napkin restaurant where entrees are pricey and sides are extra, but the quality of the food is excellent. Two of us had steaks, and two had salmon. The steaks were cooked as ordered and were very flavorful. The salmon was unusually good. The Brussel’s sprouts, which comes “for the table,” provided enough for each of our foursome to have a portion, and they were very tasty. We arrived on a Wednesday, which allowed half-price for a bottle of Pinot Noir—an excellent accompaniment for both the beef and the fish. Service was professional (despite perhaps a little too much attempt to upsell), and the noise level was comfortable for conversation.

Though our server was nice, we were treated rudely by some other staff. The food took longer than we thought it should but not terrible. I was with three other people, they all enjoyed their appetizers and meals. I can't remember all of the appetizers but we had salmon, sea bass, and two filet trios for entrees. My appetizer was good, but my sea bass entree was overcooked. I sent it back and went without an entree as I didn't want to wait again.

Got lucky finding a seat at the bar on a very busy Saturday night. Ordered the Oysters, mini wedge salad and hangar steak. Oysters and mini-wedge were solid. Hangar Steak was REALLY good - perfectly cooked, quite tender for a hangar steak, and really nicely seasoned. The reason I knocked a star off were the scalloped red potatoes that came with the steak. They were chewy and slightly undercooked, and perhaps left out or something for a bit too long which was a bit disappointing. Having said that I would definitely come back - the meat was really good!

Visited 333 Pacific during April 2021 and dinner was a completely enjoyable affair. My wife and I ordered food we could share to get the best experience possible. The lobster mac and cheese was tasty and plentiful. The filet mignon trio was also extremely tasty. However the best part of the entire meal was the calamari. We both thought we could have made an entire meal with a couple of orders of this. The atmosphere was nice. Not loud but also not dead quiet. Service was done well all around. The only issue we encountered was being charged for a glass of wine that we neither ordered or received. However the issue was corrected quickly. By the way, 333 Pacific also gives military discount which is always appreciated.

looking for a nice meal, the trip advisor reviews were very good. starting with a cocktail, we perused the extensive menu. we started with a burrata, and opted for a cowboy ribeye and braised beef shank for entrees. the food was delish and well presented. great atmos and staff. it should be noted that the restaurant charges a 5% surcharge, ostensibly to cover operating costs associated with having to pay the staff a minimum wage. the surcharge does not go to the wait staff. Our first time in Oceanside we opted for the 333 for one evening. The restaurant is really nice and we requested and got a patio table. The service was really good and attentive, and the appetizers were good. Unfortunately the steaks missed the mark completely. One of us has a New York Stirp , medium, if was literally raw, ( think Steak Sushi) . The waiter quickly took it to be re-cooked, and then we got to the second one, a Filet supposed to be medium well, which was closer to rare. The manager, Tracy, solved this very professionally by taking the steaks off the check. Some times things do not work out, but it shows a lot about a restaurant how the handled. This was handled first class, and we therefore came back 2 days later and had a really nice meal.
