While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. This place is very convenient and always very clean. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We ordered tostadas to go. Felix made a special one wit shrimp instead of chicken. Very good. Only thing is-they told us the dressing was in containers on the side. There was no dressing at all😞. That’s ok-mistakes happen.

Reliable quality and outstanding flavor. This El Pollo Loco delivered an excellent product with very speedy service. The facility was very clean and the cost was quite moderate. Love their self-serve salsa bar!

This was my first time visiting this new location since their grand opening. I was in a hurry so I went thru the drive thru window. First thing I notice they've added new things to their menu like chicken tenders & fries yes fries..( I didn't try yet) I had a difficult time deciding on what I wanted to try. ( This is where it gets good) the young lady that waited on me was so patient she took her time to explain my various choices and what was in each meal she was so patient not at any time did she rush me or hurry me along (no cars behind me in line ). I wanted a taco salad but it's not included on the menu, I settled for a 2 pcs leg with a loco salad and a side with a coke. The chicken was seasoned perfect and my salad was crisp with the perfect amount of dressing included. There is adequate amount of parking and its next to fitness 19. First time experience was a winner I will be going back to try the chicken tenders.

First!!!! This time, overjoyed to welcome perfectly done chicken to the neighborhood

What? It's been open for days and nobody has taken the time to say "Welcome to the Neighborhood!!!!!" For shame, Oceanside neighbors.. for shame!!! Oh wait... it's probably because you have El Pollo Loco chicken all over your fingers and don't want to get your keyboard messed up.... Okay... all is forgiven. Listen... if you are vegetarian or vegan, you may want to avoid reading this... you can still go, they have vegetarian and vegan options... but the rest of this review is all about the juiciest, most tender and flavorful chicken that you can get from a fast food place. Short, direct and to the point.... there is never a time that I do not crave El Pollo Loco. If I was to win the lottery and have unlimited funds, I would bring a franchise of El Pollo Loco to Tennessee... because I plan to retire there and I can't envision retirement without this chicken close to me. It is that good. There have been some hurt feelings... like that you aren't open 24 hours... and then there was that time you discontinued your flan which I had fallen in love with... but I understand.... the relationship is based on your chicken and the relationship is strong and filled with commitment and love. Now that you are in the neighborhood, you can expect to see me at least once a week... I have been told that chicken is an excellent source of protein for building strong muscles.... and who doesn't want that?!?! I have also been told that the smell of El Pollo Loco chicken has been found to have aphrodisiac-like properties... which makes sense because I am amazed at the numbers of passionate, beautiful people who frequent your stores... whatever happens, don't change... I love you just the way you are!!
