Very tasty food! We had the rib eye which was cooked to perfection! The meat was not quite melt in your mouth. Came with Kale and yummy potatoes, all made with olive oil. With a dollop of butter it was just right. Excellent service even...in COVID times.More

Food was delicious....the entrees come with huge portion...my wife and I ordered ribeye steak and the halibut and either of them the portion was big enough for us to share! Too bad we didn’t know that and we also ordered starters but again good food...and good serviceMore

My husband and I came to our usual stay at The Inn at Occidental. Marilyn usually recommends this restaurant but we hadn’t went. Reservations are highly recommended but we did not make any so we sat at the bar. The menu is changed often. We...had the grilled Brussels Sprouts which were the best I ever had. I had the roasted chicken and my husband had the pot roast. Both meals were outstanding! Each meal costs about $30 so they are a bit pricey but are definitely worth it. The service was good and the selection of wine and beer is great. Mostly local wineries which makes Occidental a great place to visit. I highly recommend Hazel! If you have more than 2 people, be sure to make a reservation since there is limited seating at the bar.More

This small town in wine country has amazing food. Jim and Michelle own and run it. Your experience here will surprise you. All food has great presentation, and the servers are quick to please. It would be good to make a reservation so you can be...seated promptly. Try new foods and don’t forget the appetizers. Enjoy!More

Really enjoyed the relaxed vibe, great food, professional service here. This is a very small place so you need to plan ahead and be patient if you want to eat here. Really very reasonable prices for the quality they deliver. Many of the ‘wine country’...restaurants leave you feeling a bit ripped off. Not Hazel.More

This place is small, but great things come in small packages! We have eaten here a couple of times and each time the food has exceeded our expectations. The service is great and it's a charming place in a charming town. It can be a...bit loud on the weekends (because it's small) -- it's nice in the summer, you can sit outside.More

We ate here for dinner with another couple. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. The restaurant is on the small side so I would suggest reservations. It definitely was noisy, but in a small space that cannot be avoided. They do...have some outside seating as well.More

This is a restaurant that could be easily in San Francisco not only because of its menu but because of the entire experience. Very well and quaintly designed to fit right in the heart of Occidental. The menu is simple yet delicious. Farm-to-table experience with...local meats and produce as well as the vegetables in season. In California we get access to great produce year around and Hazel definitely takes advantage of that with a really thoughtful menu, and sourcing all ingredients around the Sonoma county. Great food, make sure to make a reservation because it's a popular destination.More

We've eaten here twice and both times have been solid. The atmosphere is nice and the service decent. Recommend the pizza.

We stopped in here after wine tasting for a quick snack. The service was prompt and the pizza was very good. There's an option for inside or outside dining.. Both are nice. The decor is appropriate for the town, but very nice and comfortable.
